If I didn't buy the Oddyssey 2 ball putter last year, I prolly woulda bought that already. Putted with it at the local Dicks last week. Very smooth.

Puttings one of those things. A good putter would still sink a lot of putts with the club they give you at the miniature golf course. But for those of us who struggle with our putting, a putter like that (or my two ball) helps with two things.

1. Alignment. Having the two balls (or in this case, the Saber tooth) behind the ball I am addresing, it helps with not only lining the ball up right, but also making a smooth and straight backswing before the putt.

2. Feel. The inserts Oddyssey uses are great in my view. Ball feels very comfortable coming off the putter head, and also is supposed to give you a truer roll so the ball doesn't knuckle or hop on you on impact.

But, I mean, it just seems that with two prongs having to hit the ball simultaneously, you're introducing a lot of opportunity to hit one of the prongs before the other and completely effing up your putt. Can't you get the same alignment effect but still have a solid interior striking surface?

Odyssey 2-ball putter was one of the two best golf investments I made earlier this year. Nike Sumo Squared driver was the other.

Those two have lowered my scores by about 6 shots a round (on average).

Mitch, i was looking at that driver, but it just looks weird to me. But, i have heard a lot of good things about it.

If I can bring myself to part with the $150, I love the Oddyssey Tour putters. The balance and head weight is amazing. I'm looking for the shortest, squarest backstroke possible and they seem to fit the bill. I don't feel comfortable over the 2-ball, but these have a more traditional flange style head. I also noticed that Oddyssey came out with a club similar to Swerb's highly USGA ILLEGAL "Mr. Chipper" It looks like a putter with about 45 degrees of loft.

It enrages playing partners, especially when I use it to chip within inches of the cup to secure multiple skins.

No BS D ... I lost Mr Chipper last fall. One too many cold ones at an outing. Noticed it missing the next time out, course didn't have it turned in.

I'll have to look into the new Odyssey model.
