Santana is so far above the rest of the pitchers he has to be taken top 3...in a H2H league your pitchers will win the league for you, not your hitters....

It ALL depends on the format and scoring system. In H2H point leagues, Santana does warrant a very, very high pick.

I wouldn't say that taking Santana at 2 would be foolish, but I think there are players that will help you more in certain categories.

I'd put Reyes ahead of Santana because in Roto he'll put you in the middle-of-the-pack in steals all by himself.

Same goes for Soriano, though his steals aren't as high, he's got an amazing combination of power and speed. I'm always leery of Soriano though, I just get the sense he's going to either flame out or the injuries will start piling up. Hasn't happened yet.

Tough for me to put Hafner in the Top 20 when he's a DH. The lack of positional eligibility is an important consideration as well. Same reason I like Ortiz, but don't at the same time.

I'd put Berkman on that list before Jeter. I'm just a Jeter hater. Can't help it.

Joe Mauer, for the purposes of fantasy baseball, should probably be #21.
