My issue is helping people who dont want to help themselves. I am all for helping those who want to help themselves. How do families live generations on welfare? there is no incentive to get off... what about a sliding scale that eventually goes away after a certain time limit.

And before you think I am just harping on Dems, the biggest disappointment in Dubya for me is his utter failure to not privatize social security. I am young, give me my money and I will take care of myself when I become 65. I can invest it a hell of alot better than the US government.

I dont have much at all in common with the democrats of America, additionally Obama and the rest of Democratic party basically buy votes through social programs. They do not provide incentives. Concerning social security sure there would be a huge group of people where the government would have to foot the bill for and that is why it would be expensive... however, if we just sit there and keep passing the buck to the next generation to pay for people who are 65 to have extra retirement arent we just going to dig deeper and deeper? There is a point where we have to stop. SS is paying out more than it brings in. That is a problem. There is risk to every investment, but being 40 years away from SS myself I would rather take the risk with investing my own money than relying on the government to supplement my own income.

I want to pay a fair share of taxes for military, roads, schools and some parks... other than give me my money... the government doesnt need to help me save, I am responsible, I dont need to pay for people to have 15 children and collect welfare in 3 states because one day I will have to pay for my own children. BE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOURSELF. Sorry if that is harsh, but that is life. There are people who need help and like I said I want them to get it, BUT I do not want to help people who dont help themselves. That might be mean, but that is how I feel. Im sick of it.

All I've heard is that my taxes will go up, I'll get $300 in January, and that our national security will be threatened because we'll make friends with Iran.

Decide on your own, if your taxes are going up. Lots needs to be debated and discussed by both candidates on issues like this and others, instead of playing partisan mudslinging.

On the issue of Iran, one needs to look at what has feed Iran's hate for us. What we did In 1953 feeds what has transpired over the past 50 years and our relations with them. Starting a war with them is the last thing we need to do. They as a nation have plenty of reason to burn our flags and call us the great Satan. This also needs debated and talked about, before fueling the fire of hate that already exists.

And the promises of more of the poor people recieveing funds will be money printed by the Treasury Department earmarked for Social Security or military upkeep.

And, someone didn't do their homework in Dayton, BarryO stands up in front of a public school forum and tells educators that charter schools are the future. What? You go to a PUBLIC school and say PRIVATE schools are the future? Dude, don't bite the hand that feeds you.

Obama's broke. Advertising, media, staffers are cutting back. His hope is only to be shown on CNN and the MSNBC's of the world talking to figureheads, not real people with real problems.

And when someone tells me, he wants an audience of "communication" with someone who uses his power to genocide, to get attention with nukes, and be an all around idiot, has no place to be a Commander-in-Chief.

Barack Obama wanted to eliminate programs that would get people on welfare back to work. He wants them stuck there so they'll be entirely beholden to him.

Obama is promising another $300 Billion is spending in order to take care of us. He's a big supporter of cradle to grave government welfare. He also wants to give us a "tax cut" that's actually a rebate program that he can always stop. He'll probably hold it over our heads when up for re-election. Maybe he'll use it to get the 22nd Amendment repealed so he can serve longer in order to oversee his programs. After all, he's on record as saying he may serve 10 years as President. He's either an idiot or really ambitious and believes he could sell a ketchup popsicle to a woman wearing white gloves.

The Democrats are all about big spending government programs. To them the government is the solution to the problems.

You know one of the biggest causes of the market problems we have today? They center on Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. You know who's employed some of the ex-execs that pilfered millions from Fannie and Freddie? Barack Obama. You know who the Fannie and Freddie execs give the most money to? Democrats. You know why? Because they allowed them to pull off the stunts that helped to precipitate this economic mess.

The Republicans tried to fight for reform in Fannie and Freddie and the Dems would have none of it. It was the Democrats that pushed for an increase in the lending in the secondary mortgage market (and some GOPers did oblige).

And now it appears that Barack Obama still doesn't want to change Fannie and Freddie. Too big of a cash cow for him.
