Sad and scary, but without knowing many details it sounds as if somebody of authority acted quickly, props and thank goodness for that.

My daughter is in 8th grade next door at the middle school and they are on lockdown. Just heard they recovered ammo and a dufflebag. I know alot of kids in South, so glad they got this taken care of so quickly.

Yeah, some scary shit there. From the sounds of it, the kid was suicidal but thankfully was not willing to go through with it or take a few kids with him.

I know several teachers at South who I know as friends or through other friends.....scary stuff. Coulda been a ton worse. This kind of shit scares the living crap outta me....mostly because there is absolutely nothing you can do about it.

It sounds like tragedy was averted and no one was hurt. Great news, this could have been much worse. I have family that worked there recently and still have a lot of friends there. Very thankful this turned out okay.

Sad state of affairs in America that this occurs so frequently. I think we have all be depressed or confused at times in our lives, especially at that age, but to take those emotions out on an entire school is just beyond sick.

To be honest I lived in Willoughby for years and this community is going to shit. Just yesterday my wife and I looked at 6 homes in Kirtland for sale. The amount of section 8 homes/apts down Lost Nation has turned this town for the worse.

I read something a year or two ago that Cleveland is projected to have 25-30% of its homes section eighted be 2015.

Actually, this shit has been going on for a long time. I think the 24/7 cable news outlets and the internet have just made us all more aware, as opposed to the days when we got our news from newspapers and the 6 o'clock news, where stories of school shootings from out of state wouldn't get so much play.
