From dw's Weekly Standard link:
"Aside from the disparate responses I get from nearly every single person I ask (they want
1) a millionaire’s tax
2) an end to capital punishment
3) modernized infrastructure, and so on), a single placard I see at the activists’ encampment perfectly illustrates the grab-bagginess of it all...
4) “Close Corporate Tax Loopholes,
5) Tax Religious Groups,
6) End the Wars,
7) Legalize Weed, and
8) Bring Back Arrested Development.”
...Well, according to another posting on OWS’s website, they want
9) a universal single-payer health care system,
10) a guaranteed living wage regardless of employment,
11) free college education,
12) one trillion dollars in infrastructure improvement,
13) to bring the fossil-fuel economy to an end,
14) to outlaw all credit-reporting agencies, and
15) to see immediate across-the-board debt forgiveness for all. "
Most of those look like pretty reasonable liberal positions to me. A few crazies thrown in, sure--I'd be skeptical about #1, I never watched #8, #10 & #15 are batshit crazy, and I don't get #14--but for the most part, the actual positions extracted from that article are good (though not especially original) ideas, IMO, and not reducible to "we hate capitalism, maaaaaaaan."
