OJ drove through SoCal in the white Bronco?

When Baby Jessica was trapped in the well?

When Momma Jessica became eligible to access her trust fund?

http://www.aolnews.com/2011/03/27/baby-jessica-turns-25-gains-access-to-trust-fund/

Interesting to say the least, in so many ways, from her personal life to the impact on media as we know it today.

Just was thnking about this and boom there it is. I thought it was march 31. I was in school at the time. never was much of a reagan fan until i got older and appreciated what he did. i thought he was an actor-phony when i was a kid but have realized that he was the real deal. a tough SOB too came back from the gunshot wounds and was a good president.

What exactly was that?

Was on watch and goit lucky when the corupt and uncompetitive USSR finally inevitably collpased under its own weight of sloth? Ignored every single long-term issue plaguing America that has rotted the nation from the inside-out since about 1970 and started the pattern of band-aid deficit spending us into economic oblivion and encouraging multinational corporations to run amok unchecked and destroying the middle class?

Did it with oversimplfying reality into the absurd wit his rosie cheeks and an avuncular twinkle in his eye, so its all good though.

Let's put him on a silver dollar and get the feminists off.

Tellin' yah, Reagan has evolved after-the-fact into a god by the ultra-right. So much revision it isn't even funny. Loved his charm , optimism, and swag, too. I think he understood the POTUS position more than anyone including even Bubba -- in a huge contrast to BO . But policy-wise? He set us down a catastrophic path long-term . I even give him credit for the first 2 years of his first term when he pretended he wanted to be a fiscal conservative. Take an listen to David Stockman these days who was there on the inside and an objective look at what Ronnie's crue did long-term to the economy, investments, deficit/debt, tax base, and middle class jobs. It isn't good.

I know the wing nuts are gonna gag with appoplexy that Reagan can be objectively evaluated after cannonization and do the usual name calling and posing at me, but it is what it is.

Ladies remain calm. This flight will be diverted and land in Havanna in 2 hours and then after demands have been met you will safely arrive in Miami.

If it weren't FUDU I'd feel remorse abou this hijack, but he deserves it. Carry on with the hyperventolation and pidgeonholing sophistry that is part and parcel to AM talk radio, errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr, the internets anytime politics or history comes up.

Lol Rich.

The more I remember and reas about Ronald the more he's ascended into a mythical status as POTUS. He rode the sense of American pride and exceptionalism he helped portra while his politics and policies were pretty so so.

Thought this was about Randy Travis.

You want some 'Three Wooden Crosses"? Story about redemption and the sins of the father (or in this case the mother).

Let me know. I got it locked and loaded.

And for the record, loved Reagan vis a vis the use of the military and his foreign policy at a time when national pride was at it's low (in my lifetime). From an economic standpoint I'm just a believer that it's all cyclical and you either ride the wave or are washed to sea on it like a Japanes toddler. Yeah, you can have an effect, but it's all aboutht etiming in terms of your legacy.

Loved Reagan's ads. Great campaign team.

Like it or not, you all are internet schucks, as am I for the 99 / 100th part. I refuse to get all phist & stuff, even as I'm annying the shit out yah. But while this has a few years on it, AFAIC AJS Jr remans the definitive expert on the US presidency. I know, I'm Freddie Engels for citing AJS via a neutral PBS link. Whatever. Just shows Ronnie was hardly this alleged demi-god as potus.

Sorry wingies, Ronnie just isn't the 5th Beatle on Mt Rushmore.

A note on the cold war... The fall was the result of a coherent and ocnsistent 40 year bi-partisan strategy of containment, not a final 6 year drunk spending push or SDI fantasy. If you are a conservative, you give credence to Rand, and if you give credence to rand, you have to see the fall as inevitable due to a flawed political philosophy. In that sense, Reagan is no more to be credited for '88 than Johnson, JFK, Ford, Carter, Nixon, Ike or Turman.

Dude- timing is everything. Shit started falling right for a lot of people at the time RR took office. From the hostage release to the wall to an upturn economically.

But RR had some strengths to rely on. Dude HAD a fastball. Whether it was acting ability or whether it was real, shit lined up right and he gave countries around the world, for the most part, pause to reflect and he announced that re-found presence with authority (to borrow from Nuke LaLouche).

I ain't saying his policy was tight or that he should be given credit for DOING anything. I'm saying that things were perceived to be better than they were before once he got in office, perception is reality and there's no one better on earth to capitalize on that fact than an actor.

He is what the people think he was and an awful lot thought he was the shizz. You know it as well as I do from growing up in the time. Emperor has no clothes? Looks like a million bucks to everyone else.
