http://thehill.com/opinion/columnists/d ... generation

The Obamination continues...Two years of total control and nothing to show for it but historical fail.

There is no Democratic message. President Obama is heralding education — an issue never mentioned on the campaign trail. Secretary of State Clinton is trying to restart the peace talks in the Middle East. Attorney General Holder is re-evaluating online national-security taps. And a hundred Democrats are scrambling about on their own trying to get reelected!

.....

The Democratic campaigns they are waging are formulaic. They make no attempt to defend the administration, but run away from it where possible. They never mention the words stimulus, healthcare reform, card-check, GM takeover or cap-and-trade.

Instead, they are running almost exclusively negative ads. They base their campaigns on tax liens, failed marriages, DWIs and the like. Where there is a paucity of dirt, they resort to three prefab negatives: that their opponent favors a 23 percent national sales tax, that he wants to privatize Social Security and that he is shipping jobs overseas.

Of course Reich gets it all wrong. Another over-simplification of the Great Depression, and total misconception of the Hoover administration.

http://www.csmonitor.com/Business/Robert-Reich-s-Blog/2010/0928/Republican-tough-love-economics-Social-Darwinism-for-the-21st-century
John Boehner, the Republican House leader who will become Speaker if Democrats lose control of the House in the upcoming midterms, recently offered his solution to the current economic crisis: “Liquidate labor, liquidate stocks, liquidate the farmer, liquidate real estate. It will purge the rottenness out of the system. People will work harder, lead a more moral life.”

Actually, those weren’t Boehner’s words. They were uttered by Herbert Hoover’s treasury secretary, millionaire industrialist Andrew Mellon, after the Great Crash of 1929.

But they might as well have been Boehner’s because Hoover’s and Mellon’s means of purging the rottenness was by doing exactly what Boehner and his colleagues are now calling for: shrink government, cut the federal deficit, reduce the national debt, and balance the budget...

It should be added that Mellon survived about 5 economic collapses in industrial and speculative Pittsburgh, and with Harding helped bring the nation out of the steepest deflationary recession in ever in about 18 months.

I'd love to see John Boehner be forced to commit Seppuku. He's human scum not worth 1 dry dog turd.

I can't see how it was surprising that the Democrats only took over because of the Republican failures, and managed to do even worse than their predecessors. It's not unexpected to predict that not only will the Republicans take back both houses of Congress, but do well in running them, probably well enough to make Obama a one-termer. Then, within two years of the next Republican presidency, the GOP will start fucking it all up again.

By default they will likely stabilize the financial markets because Washington will be at a standstill with them taking the house. So they would have to screw it up pretty damn bad to suck just as bad.

Ah I think I get it. They suck do suck just as bad, they all suck. Their overall performance though, through default, should not suck as bad.

John Boehner's family owned a bar. I like bars, and beer. He is good. Better then a Democrat, then again anything is...

The tan is a bit creepy, but no creepier than Pelosi's Botox frozen grin. And if the best the Democrats have is demonizing Boehner the Republicans will have no problem taking back the House. Here's to hoping for 1994 all over again.

^Agree. I'm a huge Boehner fan as I think he is one of the few slingin' it back at the Democrats. I like his frank manner of answering questions.

My favorite was:
Jonh fucking horseface mother fucking Boehner

Substitute "Kerry" for "Boehner" and it works just as well. That kind of adaptability works for me.

Giving people the ability to learn whether or not their spouse is cheating is priceless. This mobile spy software product focuses only on catching a cheating spouse. This audience is very hungry for the truth. Earn $40 vs. $32 with bubble competitor!

Ya know, in the time it took you to respond and check FUDU's Ashley Madison account to see if it was hackable you could have at least banned that username.

But no, I did it. Like I do with the countless jersey salespeople. ;-) ;)

BTW kids out there, the jersey selling profession is glutted with chinese competitiors. Look elsewhere. Of course, every market is glutted with Chinese competitors so good luck with that.
