3 Favortie TCF Writers....

Unread postby Bayou Tribe » Thu Jul 15, 2010 9:55 am

I thought it would be cool to see who everyone's 3 favorite writers from this site are. I don't want this to turn into a negative thread, so don't rank the entire staff or throw in your 3 least favorites. Just wanted to get a glimpse of everyone's particular tastes.

For me personally, I found this site originally because I couldn't find any decent Indians content anywhere else on the web. So my selections will more than likely lean more towards the guys who cover the Tribe more regularly...

Steve Buffum -- I know, way to go out on a limb. I'm sure I'm not alone in saying that the B-List was a considerable attraction to reading the front page articles for me, and for long stretches of the season keeping up with the List becomes as much of a daily routine as morning coffee & newspaper.

Tony Lastoria -- No one on the web follows the Tribe's farm system like Tony, and I'm quite confident in saying that not many in the Indians' actual front office probably follow as he does either. With the Indians' current philosophy of continually committing to "youth movements", having Sig on here is a huge resource and credit to the operation.

Jesse Lamovsky -- Outside of the guys that mostly cover the Indians, it's a neck and neck race between Jesse and Mitch on whose articles I most frequent. Jesse always has had solid football takes, but the series on "Great Cleveland What-If's" as well as the recent piece remembering the 95 Tribe season are some works that stood out for me at the time.

1. Buffum. The orginal reason I ended up at TCF way back when.

2. The Artist Formerly Known as Hiko.

3. Cant decide between Cass and Hnat, so just gonna leave em both in this spot.

Buff- Got me here

McPeek - Sense of humor right up my alley. A tremendous slouch

Benz - I just like his stuff

This is not to take away from a lot of the other writers, especially Lemovsky who I love too. But the assignment was to pick 3 so I did.

Jesse, Peek, and that bastard Mansfield Lucas.

I don't read Indians articles, nothing against the writers, more against the team. I like to ignore their existence.
In the end, we're all "only for a limited time," you guys.

We're pretty spoiled here...we have the best Indians writer in the world, bar none, in Pauly C. I like Castro as well, but Paulie is the best. Not just the best on this site, but the best period. You can't consider yourself a serious Indians fan if you don't read every one of his articles.

We have the guy who knows more about Indians prospects outside of the Indians organization in Tony. I don't know if other teams have a Tony, but I highly doubt it. The knowledge of the system from top to bottom is unbeleivable.

For a jack of all trades guy, it doesn't get better than Peeker. Browns/Buckeyes/Indians/Cavs, the man knows it all, and he has a level head on his shoulders. Thats something to be said around here.

I know you asked for three, but I have to mention a couple others. Jesse is awesome for Browns stuff. His 2010 Season in Review literaly brought a tear to my eye. It was realistic enough to be plausible, and amazing enough to get me more excited about the Browns 2010 season than I have been all year.

Dan does a great job with the Buckeyes, from recruiting to season previews to game recaps. Absolutely awesome.

Mitch is priceless. 24 recaps, movie reviews...I read it all.

And I haven't even mentioned Buff yet....

Rich, be proud. This is an impressive collection of talent you have here under one roof.

Can't argue this too much. And Benz is good as well.
