The best part is that many of those checks go to people in the construction industry who are on seasonal unemployment. When I worked in that industry people would go on unemployment, work under the table for their employer, and do side work for cash. End result was a worker usually making more money, with more offtime, and less desire to work when needed to keep the employer in business.

I can't name the amount of time we would have small 1-2 day projects for existing customers were I, the one who paid into the unemployment they are now receiving, would basically have to plead/butter them up to get them to the customer. Fucking dolts in Cleveland deserve to be on the couch unemployed.

To those not gaming the system. I have never seen a hard working person on unemployment ever stimulated. Rather they are usually depressed, and subsidized to not work. Then as their 26 weeks comes close to ending, become further depressed as they see that lack of work. I could go on forever with unemployment stories.

The best being the guy who got in just as they kept extending. Talking about all the jobs that were below him while he was in that first 70 some weeks. Then upon realizing he wouldn't be able to continue collecting, starting going to those very jobs. Ones that if he would have taken right away could have led to promotion, or at the least less depression and a more agressive search for further work.
