Unread postby Erie Warrior » Thu Jun 17, 2010 12:16 pm

This is awesome.

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ynews/ynews_ts2638

Isn't it a felony to assault an officer? Sure looks like the chick in the pink shoved him. Alright Gents choose one: mace, taser or a good old fashioned knuckle sandwich?

I would have liked to see the taser, but it looked like the cop landed a solid shot.

Nah. That dainty little fairy looks tough hitting a girl, but my money says someone with balls touches him he runs like a little bitch.

He's the guy in high school that would talk shit from the end of hall, but face to face he didn't have much of a voice.

Want to know how to not get punched in the face? Don't act like that. Sorry, no compassion for assholes. If it was a guy would it be a big deal?

Fuck him in the neck with an ice pick. He's a cheap punk, not worth piss in a bucket. I hope he enjoys being unemployed.

And no, gender doesn't make a difference. He's a bitch either way.

How do you propose police officers arrest people? It sure shut her the hell up. (FTR I am not condoning the act, I just could give two shits what happens to people like that)

Obviously couldn't arrest them as they were raving lunatics, can't tase, can't punch, can't shoot, and I am guessing if he wrestles her to the ground it would be considered excessive force as well. So what tool does that leave police officers who want/need to arrest someone who doesn't want to be arrested? Whats funny is all that started because he wanted to question her about jaywalking. Come over, talk to police officer, get your ticket if he is a dick or be polite and go on your way. No arrests, no punches in the face. Don't know the guy so I cant judge him or his actions, I just know I could care less if people like her get punched in the face by anyone.

Sure did, and now he's probably going to lose his job for it, so I hope it was worth it.

He could call for backup and arrest her, thunder thighs ain't runnin nowhere. Or pull his gun and order them onto the ground and cuff 'em up. (notice how I said "pull" and not "use")

Listen, i'm not Jfiling, I don't have it in for cops. If that's the best thing he could think of, he's a moron and a disgrace to the badge.

FTR someone tries to give me a jaywalking ticket, i'd take it, then throw it in the nearest trash can.

I'm torn on this one. I'm leaning toward taking the side of the LEO simply b/c these were grown adults that know better than to react that way to an officer that was simply trying to question them. Should he have punched the woman, no, but in the heat of the moment with two of them flailing at him I cannot put too much fault on him. IMO it was better than him busting out his taser.

Punish him with a brief few days of suspension and equally as important if either of the women were in fact breaking a law before hand add that to the charges of assaulting a LEO.

And therein lies the difference. Why wouldn't you get in the cops' face and push him. Oh, that's right, he's got a gun and the authority to use it.

It's one cop, by himself, trying to write a ticket. Then he gets assaulted. Would it be better if he tased the chick? Or if he doused her with mace?

You call him a bitch, I say he should have punched them both, then busted out the taser on them both.

No respect. You don't have to like the ticket, but her behavior led to the physical altercation.

You cant jack people in the face if you are a police office, you just cant. Gotta show more restraint than that, especially with a crowd full of people. The woman definitely should have been arrested and if he needed to use force so be it. Just cant throw a punch like some wild man in a bar. I am as pro police as they come but there is a line and unfortunately he crossed it.

Maybe I should've toned down my comments.

But a gun and a badge doesn't make someone right all the time, nor does it make them bad guy.

The respect I give someone is directly related to the respect they give me. I'm not going to bow and scrape to person just because they're in a postion of authority if they're acting like a prick. That being said, I think 95% of cops are good men and women, it's the other 5% that get the most attention, which is sad.

Just so people know, i'm not a hater, I don't call 'em pigs. I just think they need to be held to the same standard as the rest of us. If that was just another dude tussling with a woman and he decked her, he'd be in jail. Why does he get a pass? This this bizzare adulation "I would've beat 'em up more" faux tough guy act I see here is pretty funny though.

Bet its the last time this bitch touches a cop, eh?

Fuck her and her fat arrogant ass cuz the only problem I'm seeing is this not happening more often

You can't respect the badge, respect the fist but, I'da setteled for watching her writh in agony over a prolonged full strength taze...

I'm torn, I guess, between seeing her hair looking like she just licked a wall socket and seeing her spit bloody teeth out her huge fucking mouth

Did I swear off these threads entirely, or just swore off slapping at jfile? Either way, looks like I'm the guy that can't stop smokin'

Anyway, to the original point I made some years back considering these tasings, that is, there are people in this world that I truly feel sorry for. The victims of the tasings posted here, just about every GD one of em' involves someone who brings punishment upon themselves because there too dumb, ignorant, defiant or drunk to reply to simple requests. Are many of them excessive?, certainly, that why they make this board, but easily, easily avoidable by someone with half a brain.

Damn, it's gotta suck being a police officer in the age of cell phone cameras. He might've been right, but it doesn't matter now - that video is out in the media and the public is pissed...he'll be a sacrificial lamb. If you're a cop you always have to have that in the back of your mind. Someone's always taping you.

Disagree, best thing ever, how else would we have half of these taser videos. :nanner:

What gives the chick in the pink the right to think she can even speak to that cop at that moment? Let alone shove him. She has no dog in that fight, until her dog caused the fight.

If you don't want to get roughed up by the police, then do what they ask. Excessive show of force? If a person won't follow directions, what else is there?

In true American fashion, I immediately formed my opinion. And now I've finally gone back and actually watched the tape.

It sure looked like the girl in the pink shirt was just trying to separate her idiot friend and the cop who apparently needed help in subduing a flailing woman. She got between them and pushed the cop back. Then she stepped back herself. Then the cop stepped forward and punched her square in the face. She didn't even look like she was going after him at all at that point. At least that's how it looked to me.

Initially I thought hey, it may be a little excessive, but you shouldn't be attacking cops. If you do you shouldn't complain when there are repercussions. After watching the video though, I don't know man. It sure didn't look like he needed to hit anyone.

At the very least I think he hit the wrong broad.

FWIW...........

That cop was NOT assaulted. Interfered with, YES, obstruction of justice, YES, but not assaulted.

ANYTIME a male cop tosses a roundhouse right on the button of a woman and/or child, it will LOOK BAD. He needed either a better plan, better training , or separate himself, beat a tactical retreat and live to fight another day. But without backup, he was in no-man's land.

Lastly, he either punches like a broad, or she has been use to getting popped, because it DIDN'T KNOCK HER OUT!........
