Choking would be putting up a 8-20 day with 2-3 picks. Manning didn't do that, in fact, if the Colts would have won he would have been the Super Bowl MVP.

Obviously it's not as aggregious as the opening post indicates, but here's the problem with Sunday, ILO - because you touched on it. Yes, he would have been Super Bowl MVP had they won, however, you could say the same thing about many playoff games, at home, favored, that they lost in the 4th quarter. Again, not fair to put it on one guy, but again, we got guys bathing him in the "greatest of all time" category. And I'm sorry, but your favored team needs to take care of business, at home, and they need to do well in 4th quarters.

Fair? Maybe not. But again, there's guys in the clubhouse that have done it, with less talent around them.

Bottom line - he's got to perform better when the stakes are the highest - or better said, he has to perform as well as he does in the regular season. Guys like Montana and Elway excelled when the stakes were the highest. You can't be the best dropping off a level when the games mean the most.

And really, in all the back and forth on multiple threads nobody has, or can, repute the statement; Peyton Manning does not play as well in the playoffs as the regular season. Not a HUGE problem in itself for everyone, for the "greatest of all time," it is.
