I am sure it's been posted on here before, but anyone have issues when going through a drive-thru of a "fast food" restaurant? It would seem almost every time I go through one any longer, something with the order is screwed up. Drives me kwazeeeeee.

Interesting trend in fast food drive thru industry-

I was speaking a fast-food franchisee who actually outsources the stores communication at drive thru. You pull up to order, but are actually speaking to someone in a call-center, who relays the order back to the restaurant for service.

This makes perfect sense for a business driven by volume, but speaks to the "I don't give a sh*t about personal service" attitude held by so many businesses.

I don't think Taco Bell is actually edible, it's recycled food other joints toss out. I do like take out, Chinese food is good, love me some General Tso's chicken.

Oh and Frisch's is pretty good, and the one by me has a Drive Thru.

OJ, you are very right on the location.

West Park McD's is the worst on the planet, the worst hands down. 3 miles away in Rocky River, the best, hands down unreal. 30 seconds to order and get your food. West park it takes 8 minutes regardless of drive thru or going in, or a line or not. I go to McD's once a year now, if I do I will go out of my way to avoid West Park McRetards.

There's a McDonalds near me that serves nicely prepared food and isn't nearly as greasy as some places. It's owned by a good franchise owner who seems to care about the quality. Still unhealthy as sin though.

Chick-fil-a can be a bit greasy but overall it's good for fast food.

Also, Swensons is damn good. LBJ's favorite hamburger is the galley boy.

My cousin got in trouble while working at McDonald's because he placed tray paper on the counter to catch any burger he might drop. Management said the paper cost more than the meat, don't waste the paper!

All fast food is nasty- but I will admit eating it 2-3X per month. I am a sucker for Wendy's Spicy Chicken sandwich. I can't see an Arby's without Lisa Simpson's "I'm so hungry, I could eat Arby's" ringing through my head.

People eat in their cars so they can listen to the radio, and there are no "no smoking" signs.

I spend a ton of time in my car for my work so I usually have fast food for lunch. I've pretty much gotten to the point where the only thing I eat at the fast food joints are salads.

If I do get burgers I think Wendy's for national chains are the best (if that's saying anything). I also like their french fries if they are fresh.

They usually don't screw up my order either. The best thing I recommend going through a drive thru is do not order anything special (like no mustard for example). The drive thru always screws that up.

I usually eat in my car so I can listen to Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh.....I just had to say that for CDT.

It's so simple, can be cheap if you do it right, and almost always tastes good.

But, I don't really like fast food for dinner. I much prefer a home-cooked meal at dinner after a fast food lunch.

Plus, you know, when I do eat it I usually end up with explosive diarrhea. THAT makes me angry. You live in the West, you must know what it is like driving through some of these states and there being no other choice as far as food goes for hundreds of miles.

I definetely know what it is like not having any decent options while out on the road, honestly that is pretty much the only time I eat fast food. I actually have a Sonic and Chickfila with in walking distance to my apartment, and while I do get an occasional chicken sandwich, I try to avoid it so I am dont pack on the lbs. That is the only reason I dont eat it, I love the favor, dont like a huge waistline. But dont get me wrong, I know it is freaky, unhealthy, and barely food, it just does taste good every now and then.

I know it isn't good for me, I know it will won't sit well after I eat it, I know there is a 50/50 chance that it won't even taste that good and I God damn well know it will not look anything like it does on the menu board, but for love God just make the experience fast, that is all I ask. If I wanted a healthy, soothing, very tasty and delicious looking meal I would do it myself. I just don't want to spend the hours time to do it all so please, pretty please with sugar on top can you make my fast food fast.
