Have you ever actually butchered anything? Person? Animal? Song while doing karaoke?

NYC. And only after battles.

Cerebral_DownTime wrote:Why tennis?

Several factors; it's difficulty, it's culture (NOT snooty), it's elegance.

Tennis is my favorite individual sport, basketball being my favorite team sport. It's the little things that make tennis really great. I'm sure everyone has experienced trying to play tennis, acting like it was going to be easy, but then when they get on the court and dump a few balls into the net or rocket them over the fence, they get angry and start to hate it. But once somebody learns the proper technique, I guarantee they will begin to like it. The funny thing is, like with everything, people tend to make things harder. Tennis isn't hard. At all.

What I also like about it is that it's just you, your opponent, the ball, and the lines of the court. But mostly you (especially when it's a big point, it's dead quiet, and all you have is your thoughts). The pressure, which is overlooked by most people, is probably my favorite part of the sport.

Most of you may ask how I or any other tennis fans can even sit down and watch a match on TV. It's simple; once you've played the game before, really understand the difficulties of certain shots, and really understand the implications of certain shots (especially ones under extreme pressure), the game gets really exciting.

IMO, it's very underrated. And many people don't understand how demanding tennis can be.

Kent State University. Majored in Managerial Marketing. Coolest place I ever visited; Hawaii.

And no... it's in the basement. :thumb up:

Warning. Step away from the thread.

Really, e0yaoseigahsdgnae, we know you're better than 99% of us here. You don't have to remind us by constantly putting us down. We get it. We know you were the top dog with a killer job probably with alot of power and alot of money, which probably allowed for a major boost in your self esteem. But if I remember correctly, you lost that job, and it seems to me your having trouble accepting the fact that you aren't high and mighty, status wise, anymore. So you make up for that by being condescending to those who don't do things your way or the way you would have done it. That's all you right there. Short and sweet. Don't bother signing up for this, because we already know what we need to know about you.

Lighten up, e0y2e3. Please.

Ah Billy, you are a bit too easy to push around....

The kiddie brigade here really needs to learn to toughen up and not fall victim to every single piece of bait dropped out there.

Sure this thread is retarded and I would have left it go w/ my doh, but you said you called it so I pushed you a little bit farther.

Poor little girls in here still sour I yelled at a college kid for whining about the job market on the internet instead of, well, working to get a job.

Oh and I have been a condescending prick since I came out of the womb, nothing to do w/ any sort of job. Stupid threads always have been and always will be stupid threads.

I'm on the fence with all the bitching and back-biting here. I personally go with the live and let live philosophy, but I realize everyone isn't the same and I'm good with that. Plus you have the clearly printed warning label "Mature audiences only, not for the easily offended" on here so you gotta know it's coming from all angles.

Either way, people are posting and replying as much on these 2 threads as they have on any on here so far so obviously it wasn't a terrible idea. I have seen Q&A threads on many message boards, it's not the most uncommon thing out there.

That's funny because I almost added something about the fact that more of these threads mean that Timmah's threads get bumped lower down the page, but I refrained.

As for the bear, if you've never had frost-activated artic rabies than you wouldn't understand. Shits for real, pandemic.

My posting style is on the edge no doubt and I tend to not tolerate stupidness well.

I also tend to think things like this and "how do I go to college" are beyond intolerable threads. This place has too much potential to have threads that belong on the Watercooler or at Cleveland Live.

That said, that is also why I rarely if ever come back here. Too much of this crap and enough posters already have sand in their vagina's over me being mean to them.

Last thing I need is to go off mature audience style and make all the kiddie brigade cry.

I mean christ on a stick this thread is bad.

That's what I don't understand. I can't ever imagine someone on here who I will more than likely never meet in my life saying something that would genuinely effect me. I guess to each his own. I assume you to be the same way, that you couldn't care less one way or another. But it takes all kinds to make the world spin eye, there's going to be different people with different triggers everywhere you go in life I guess.

I don't understand the issue with that.

I had a problem with a particular class in college. I asked on here because I knew the majority of folks on here went to college, and it's not as if I used their sole advice to shape their opinion on it. I approached my college advisor, my father and a couple of friends who are also in college.

People were nice enough to post some advice and how they've delt with it in the past, for which I thanked them and the thread is pretty much over.

The purpose wasn't to say "Boo-hoo I got butthurt", moreso, I didn't want to screw myself over money wise for that particular class.

I've seen tons of threads dealing with personal matters like this, from "What Car should I buy?" to something along the lines of BP working "as a male escort"

I didn't see Swerb or anybody else PM me saying that I should not have posted a thread.

As for these threads in particular? I think they have a lot of potential to be interesting, I've been curious about a lot of the forum users here (even you :hide: ), and I think these provide the right platform to do so.

Ahhhhh, I like a few places... But I gotta go with my first love. Taco Bell.

And as for the Browns... I hope they break even. And that's all I have now, hope.

Easy there OJ, no answering questions this is Bill's time to shine (and gawd I wish he would just get back here and tell me what brand of trash-bags he uses). If you want your turn you have to get in line like the rest of us.

I mean I am almost shaking w/ excitement for what bks will bring to the table when his turn is up, my head might explode....

Christ we need more of these threads. They keep me occupied at work, and I get legitimately pissed if there isn't something new to read everytime I come back. And silly me, wasting this awesome thread at 10:00 PM when I should be knocking out 20 minutes of my work day tomorrow reading it.

He's completely hijacked this thread. And he will continue to do so. Nobody else has really joined in because of him. I've lost my hope in getting this back on track, and in humanity as well.

For real? Did someone else throw the hammer down or are you stopping it yourself? Cause regardless of what anyone other than yourself thinks of it, you've already had a half a dozen or so people show legit interest so keep it rolling. You should know now from this board that there will always be a handful that want to knock on anything just for the fun of it.

If you don't run with it I may pick it up solely because it gets under eye's skin. That's gotta be incentive enough at this point. :thumb up:

Eh, just try to ignore him.

I actually really enjoyed the concept, and welcome the idea.

Board's been pretty dead as of late, due to the Cavs season being months away, The Tribe being mired in futility and the Browns? People are already discussing Next's Years Draft.

No hammer, just me.

This thread has sparked interest but for the wrong reason.

If you think it's a good thing to keep it rolling, then I'll let it.

Swerb, disregard the request.
