I still don't get why the rebuttal speeches given are set up in that particular format. It just looks way too forced and not natural in any sense to have a guy standing too close to the camera reading a script. Put him in a theater/auditorium with a crowd and get some emotion into that thing.

To me, you either do health care all the way or not at all. The way this program is shaping up (in passable form) is that it will be just like most other government programs: Nothing the middle class, working man will ever get to use, but one he will pay for his entire life.

So, the people who benefit the most (self-employed, people working under the table, chronically underemployed) are already receiving the most (in government care).


Maybe I shouldn't complain ... after a few more jobless recoveries (especially here in Ohio) ... I will be one of them.

Few comments about it.

HUGE balls by him. His clientele are mainly rich liberals, those who dont take kindly to this type of talk. If I owned a business I would keep my mouth shut. I like liberals spending in my store as much as conservatives. Oh, and I wonder how board meetings go when they all call him Mr. Mackey...mmmmmkay!

HUGE balls by him. His clientele are mainly rich liberals, those who dont take kindly to this type of talk. If I owned a business I would keep my mouth shut. I like liberals spending in my store as much as conservatives. Oh, and I wonder how board meetings go when they all call him Mr. Mackey...mmmmmkay!

A lot of pissed off people and protests here in Austin (Whole Paycheck's HQ). He's pretty misguided if he doesn't know who a significant portion of his client base is. Huge balls, yes. Stupid business move, probably for a while. At least in the short term.

I dont know whether he stupid or just doesnt care. Either way it is a bad decision for him to open his trap about any of it.

However, where will the yuppies shop if they cant go to WF? They wouldnt be caught dead in Kroger, Giant Eagle or gasp... Super Walmart. I actually like WF, it is just too damn expensive to shop there. I couldnt imagine having a family and using that as your primary grocery store.

Well here we have Central Market, so there is an actual cheaper alternative. Not sure about the others. Maybe they'll start doing co-ops and farm shares. Or sneak into Kroger at midnight.

People will be back @ his store the next time they need groceries. Very few people actually stick to a boycott longterm.
