Dude was a former Akron police captain who a lot of people here thought was railroaded into a guilty conviction of the murder of his wife. The Innocence Project played a role in his exoneration, which I wasn't aware of until today, but it is great seeing an innocent man declared innocent of a crime only the most ignorant jury could have believed.

I bet Brandon fuckin' Weeden was on that jury that wrongly convicted him.

Good for him. I remember that trial--can't believe it's been over 15 years now--and there was just always something about him that projected innocence. I recall him speaking in court after either his verdict or sentencing, and I thought even then there was no way he had done it. Just seemed like too upstanding a guy. What a nightmare this all had to be for him. So scary when the judicial system screws up.
