Epic season premiere for the best show on TV few people know about.

Should be a great season. Hank fighting temptation, daughter rebelling, and his agent and his wife are always good for an excellent subplot every season.

If you've got Showtime ON DEMAND episode 2 may already be available, (was actually available Sunday afternoon for me, before the season premiere). I had my doubts with what happened at the end of last season but they haven't missed a beat. Going to be a good season.

This is quickly becoming one of the greatest half hour comedies of all time.

The bit tonight with the Cooking With Chloe gal is classic. Hank single again. The agent, trying to recusitate his career with a fringe porn star. Epic ...

Best part is, with the Hank storyline, they can keep this thing going for several more seasons. From what I hear about Duchovny, it's not too far off from his real life.

He did JUST get out of rehab for sexual addiction (literally like 2 weeks ago he was released, they happened to have him "enter" rehab at the exact same time this season started, coincidence?). It seems like every single ep. is better than the last and if you can't wait for next week's ep, it's already ON DEMAND. I won't spoil it but Hank shows signs of nobility, finds common ground with Ashby, and the story with Charley and porn gets 1000x better.

Last night was ok. Him living with Ashby should setup some great story line possibilities. The dinner party last week is still my favorite part of this season.

Season 2. I just got in to it from the advice from a friend. Very funny show and I blew through season 1 in a week.

I still prefer Entourage, but this show is great.

Hank- walking down stairs naked after bangin' Mrs. Patterson: "Damien?"
Damien: "You fucked my mom?"
Hank: "I fucked your mom?"
Damien (angrier): "You fucked my mom!"
Damien (looking at Hank's crotch): "Did you hurt her?"

Awesome. Now my favorite show, the characters are amazingly well casted.

It was a good ending but I think they just sorta skimped over Ashby's death. He was a major character all year and then all we have is a quick scene at the cemetary? I will say his statue was hilarious but was expecting more, especially in regards to Ashby's lady and Hank meeting again, maybe at the funeral or something. Oh well, I doubt she's gone and will probably run into Hank again next season, especially with Karen being gone.

By far, the best of the three seasons of this show.

In three years, this show has gone from a fun Sunday night diversion to must see TV. One of the best half hour shows I've ever seen. Hysterically funny, while stil tugging at the heart strings, making the viewers give a shit about the characters. Thats a fine line to walk.

Season 4 should be equally as awesome with Hank as the single dad in LA with Becca and Karen in NY. And Marcy bleeding Runkle for everything hes worth while his quality of life continues to circle the drain.

I think you're getting ahead of yourself, or confusing this with Dexter. This was the second season of Californication. At first I thought there was no way it could measure up to the hilarity of the first season, especially with Hank seemingly getting "tied down". But it didn't fail to impress and actually had some emotion as well. Can't wait for next season.

The season finale was kinda vanilla, but it left lots of story lines for next season. The black baby was F'ing great. Can't wait to see how Hank's book does, and Chuck Runkle was classic- Daisy: "Fuck the Gus out of me". 5 seconds later, "Why didn't you pinch me?".

For those of you who are a fan of the show, they have a book out now.

I am reading it now and its very similar to the show. Think a young, college aged Hank Moody. Sorry, I dont read much fiction so I dont have anything to compare it to but its a decent read. One of those kind of books I can finish in an afternoon. Overall, it could be written a little better but a good read for those hard core fans.

Shameless is freaking fantastic. Edgy, inquisitive, well written, brilliantly acted... just a great pilot.

In the same way that Californication is a modern and esoteric look at modern culture and the modern family Shameless takes an aspect of our culture, failure, love and family, exaggerates it, shoves it in your face and demonstrates it with brilliant acting.

Fucking Dexter is a joke at this point, a repetitive procedural that takes a serial killer and puts him in Law and Order; Californication can be a bit repetitive as well (not to mention that the lovely star lady is shite), but Shameless may end up being the best Showtime has ever done.

Awesome, awesome, awesome pilot.

Though I do have my questions about the "boyfriend" and his ability to act with the rest of the cast. Guy seems far to thing and shallow as a character compared to everyone else.
