The new TV season

Unread postby Naxos » Mon Oct 02, 2006 1:44 pm

So what is everyone watching and what do you think of it so far?

House: Starting to love this show. Got into it this season so had to go get the first 2 on DVD.

Shark: James Wood as a lawyer. So far so good.

Jericho, Heros, & Studio 60: Started watching them. I'll give them a shot.

My Name is Earl: Still has me cracking up.

I'm watching others but these are the ones right now that are interesting to me. Some day I might have to go pick up Lost on DVD and see what it's about.

SO many different people have told me I would love "House". "My Name is Earl" and "The Office" as well.

I also have never seen "Lost". I'm sure I'd like it, but I need to rent all the old DVDs through Netflix and watch them. With two kids (Nicholas and this website) ... free time just isn't what it used to be.

If you don't get on the House bandwagon soon, I am coming over there, glueing you to a chair and taping your eyelids open next Tuesday.

House is almost the definition of the anti-hero. Almost because it seems (I'll stress the seems part) that somewhere in his messed up mind that he has some redeeming qualities.

Best parts are his "clinic hours". Watching him deal with these people and issues is great.

I believe my favorite clinic visitor was the girl who was using " the jelly" as a contraceptive.

I just started watching House this season and I love it
One of my favorite shows, that dude is whacko and the plots are excellent
My Name is Earl is super, have been watching it since it started and I laugh my balls off every episode.

Did anyone watch Dexter last night on Showtime? That seems like another great show. 10pm Sundays

The Ultimate Fighter is still the best show on TV.

House still rocks...in one regard I hate the baseball playoffs because we won't see it again for several weeks. Best character on TV...but maybe that's just because I really identify with sarcastic assholes.

I have a write up coming today regarding Shark, Smith, Heroes, and Studio 60.

Can't wait for the start of Lost tomorrow.

Wish my wife wasn't so into CSI:Miami. That show has really jumped the shark.

Too bad I don't have Showtime...I'd really like to watch Dexter. Michael Hall was excellent on Six Feet Under, and it will be interesting to see him play someone who isn't uptight like David Fisher was.

Playing a serial killer that also solves mysteries? Brilliant idea.

Nice. Looking forward to it.

Smith is the one show I decided to pass on. I recorded it, then deleted it. Figured I was watching to many shows, so if I didn't start watching this one it would free up some time for other things.

Like BSG starting this Friday. :)

I'll tell you what, the TV programming the last few years has really improved. 3-4 years ago, I maybe watched 1 show. Now? Like 7-8. Of course, being married with kids might have something to do with that.

Watched Lost last night....somewhat disappointed with the first episode. Interesting that they only focused on Sawyer, jack and Kate....as we didn't see the other survivors and what they are up to, nor got confirmation of Ecko and Locke's fate (they'll be alright, I believe).

Also, saw the premiere of "The Nine." This looks like it has potential....and I am hooked to find out what the hell happened during that bank robbery.

I caught the 1st episode of "Heroes" and actually liked it....haven't watched the 2nd episode yet but it is TiVoed.

For the new shows, caught "Smith" and like that so far...also like "Kidnapped" so far....but I am unsure how long these will keep my interest. With at most 2 hours a night to catch a show, our time is limited so these may be the first to go.

Glad to see "House" back. One of my favorites. Started watching half way through season 1, and haven't looked back since.

Also, watching "Prison Break".....loved season 1....but I have to say I am starting to lose some interest. Starting to get out of whack...which I expected would happen once they finally broke out.

I also catch "Vanished", "Desperate Housewives" and "Grey's Anatomy" with the wife. They are all tolerable.

Anyway, can't wait for the new season of "24". I find it amazing I still stumble upon people who don't watch it.

Heard Kidnapped got cancelled already. Haven't watched any of it but it is suppose to be over completely after episode 13.

Caught Friday Night Lights but I don't think I am going to catch anymore episodes of it.

And yeh I am another one of those who has never seen an episode of 24.

Yeah, Kidnapped has been canned, although they are obligated to show all 13 episodes I guess. Who knows when they will air.

Also, just saw "Smith" was cancelled:

2 episodes in and I already can't get enough of Dexter
That show is great
Anyone checking it out. Thoughts?
Nip/Tuck has been pretty good again as always
Did anyone else see the dog episode?

Dexter was incredible...might be the best show on TV right now.

Saw both episodes this weekend on the free Showtime weekend and it's enough to convince me to do something I'd been thinking about for a long time...get Showtime.

Just hope it stays as good as it's been for the first two.

Had family down this weekend for the game, and last night my sister watched the second episode and came up with an interesting theory.

The Ice Truck Killer is none other than Dexter's sister.

I don't really think she is...but it is certainly an interesting idea.

I was thinking that also
They were going to match each other, body for body.
It is a great show

Nip/Tuck is always entertaining. Creamy or crunchy?

Forgot to mention this last week......anyone see that "Trixie" is now starring on Lost? Boy, was that odd seeing her not ripping off a couple f-yous and blowing a few customers....
