Pantera Nickelback or music fans

Anyone who knows me, knows I love music
My favorite band of all time is Pantera, I have CFH logo tattooed on my arm.
It is going on 2 years since Dimebag Darryl AbbotT was killed and I know this might sound crazy, but it was very weird for me that day I heard the horrible news.

On Nickelback's latest CD ALL the Wrong Reason they have a song about that night. The background music on the track is Dimebag jamming on the guitar.

The lyrics are pretty freaky to me as it describes the events.

Side Of A Bullet
Lyrics - All The Right Reasons :.

Uncle Sam taught him to shoot
Maybe a little too well
Finger on the trigger, loaded bullet
He hit the stage so full of rage
And let the whole world know it
Six feet away, they heard him say
“Oh God, don’t let him pull it”

Please God, don’t let him pull it
How could you put us through it?
His brother watched you do it

How could you take his life away?
How could you be so full of hate?
And when I heard you let him die
And made the world all wonder why
I sat at home and on my own,
I cried alone

And scratched your name
On the side of a bullet

And in the wake of his mistake
So many lives are broken
Gone forever from a loaded bullet
And no excuse that you could use
Could pull somebody through it
And to this day so many say
“God why’d you let him do it?”

How could you let him do it?
How could you put us through it?
His brother watched him do it

How could you take his life away?
How could you be so full of hate?
And when I heard you let him die
And made the world
all wonder why
I sat at home and cried alone
and on my own
I scratched your name
On the side of a bullet

On the side of a bullet
On the side of a bullet

Anyone that knows me from the boards knows that I avoid music threads like the plague...as I have such eclectic music tastes as to probably piss off the entire planet (I count Enya, U2, Coldplay, Sarah McLaughlin, and Pink Floyd as my favorite artists).

But I'm a Nickelback fan...and more importantly, my music savvy wife loves both Nickelback and Pantera (of whom I'd never heard of since prior to the death of Dime Bag).

So this goes into the "must hear" list...especially for Clarissa.

We picked it up on Saturday.

Great choice.

Unfortunately, my wife also picked up CDs from James Blunt and the Dixie Chicks.

Another great show
Three Days Grace was sweet again(shaw them at Staind also)
Hoobastank was pretty good, wasn't a big fan going in. They had some technical issues so they played 6 songs only but they were heavier than I thought and I like it.

Nickelback was very very good.
Pyro was excellent, they kept blowing shit up which is always nice to see.
They did play "Side of a Bullet" and when they did they had a video of Dimebag footage playing on the big screen, it was AWESOME.
Overall an excellent show.
