All this Dexter talk has me wondering what all you out there love to watch.

5) Rome

4) Dexter

3) The Sopranos

2) The First 48

1) Deadwood ( Al Swearengen is the best anti-hero since Boba Fett)

Rumor has it that a Sopranos movie is in the works it would be HBO's first theater film ever it would pick up right were the show left off.

Oops...

I would consider this a mini-series, and not a television show, but to me, the greatest series of any kind, mini or regular, that has ever appeared on television was Band of Brothers.

Yes without a doubt its the most important mini-series ever. I hear HBO has a new American Revolution era show with Paul Giamati (sp?) and being directed by Tom Hanks

"John Adams", based off of the David McCullough book about the life of Adams, covering the time from right before the Declaration of Independence up to Adam's death 50 years to the day that it was signed (Jefferson died the exact same day).

Laura Linney as his wife, Abigail Adams, David Morse as Washington, Tom Wilkinson ("Michael Clayton"'s crazy lawyer) as Franklin, Stephen Dillane (Merlin in "King Arthur") as Jefferson, and Rufus Sewell as Hamilton.

Comes out in March.

Wow thats some really good casting David Morse will make a great Washington. If only HBO didnt cancel Deadwood. I did watch the whole season of John from Cincinatti and I still have no idea what the hell is going on in that series Jim Beaver and Ed O'Neil were great.

John from Cincinnati might have been the worst show ever broadcast on TV.

That David Milch decided not to do another season of Deadwood so that he could make that steaming pile of horseshit?

It still pisses me off just to think about it.

OTOH...another Showtime series to mention on the "very good" side was Californication.

And I'm really hoping that '24' returns to form this year (whenever it actually comes on due to the writers strike). As much fun as it was to ridicule the stupid parts of it last year in my recaps, it still had its great moments.

In a world with no new Seinfeld, Curb Your Enthusiasm has been the next best thing.

Lets see.....

Supernatural - The best show I don't think anyone watches. Sam and Dean are great at seeming like regular guys even though they do what they do.

Jericho - I love alternate history stuff like that.

House - The guy you root for even though he is a huge arrogant jerk.

Heroes

24 used to be on this list but after last season I'm afraid it may have jumped the shark.

And I'm sorry but I find Scrubs funny. Dr Cox cracks me up.
