The Last Castle

Anyone seen this movie. Redford, Gandolfini. Decent stock film about turnabout in a military prison. Some corny, predicatble stuff but a decent watch. Used irony similar to the end scene in "A Few Good Men". I really enjoyed it.
Browns are an irrelevant and comical organization

I saw it ... thought it was OK.

Honestly, I just can't buy Gandolfini in any other role after living and dying with him as Tony Soprano for a decade. I just can't get past it.

To me it tried too hard to be a military version of Cool Hand Luke. The warden's issues, the rock moving bet, the eventual love of the men, etc, etc., etc.

It was worth a watch on HBO, but not worth a rental IMO.

I liked Gandolfini in 'True Romance' though.

Gandolfini was a good greaseball in "8mm".

I really like it. I haven't seen any of the other movies that Gandolfini has done and don't watch Sopranos. But I thought he was pretty good.

I thought that Redford's character was brilliant.
