Movies - The Notebook, When Harry Met Sally, Boys Don't Cry

TV - Dancing With The Stars, Apprentice, Survivor

TV: Grey's Anatomy, Desparate Housewives, American Idol, Survivor

Movies: most Hugh Grant romantic comedies, Phantom of the Opera (musical version), Moulin Rouge.

Music: My entire musical collection embarasses my wife...but for the record I'll add Coldplay, Edwin McCain, and Sarah McLaughlin

TV: Used to be Survivor and American Idol, but I refused to watch either of them last year...so I'll probably say ER is the only one now that would qualify.

Food/drinks: I actually like White Zinfendel.

Movies: Almost any animated Disney film and many of their live action pictures. Pride and Prejudice, Sense and Sensibility, etc (I'm an Anglophile).

Music: Eerily similar to Tony's in some regards. I grew up on Neil Diamond as he's my mom's favorite singer. Phil Collins. Quite a bit of 80s music which I've made fun of in the past. ABBA. The Bee Gees. Billy Joel. Bob Dylan (usually get mocked because I LOVE his voice, all different versions of it). Umm, Dolly Parton - especially the much younger Dolly Parton. I also have a bit of Kenny Rogers on the iPod that I don't let friends here.

TV: I don't watch much TV. I'm not embarassed by Battlestar Galactica at all since its not the old version but the far superior new version. I still think there's nothing better on TV, but I don't have much to compare it to. I guess the Stargates are corny and I do watch them religiously. I wouldn't really call Scrubs a guily pleasure, but its the only new TV show I watch on network TV. Never seen an episode of 24, House, etc and knew exactly what was going to happen in all the CSI episodes I've seen within the first ten minutes. I'm a diehard Futurama (better than The Simpsons) fan and that's coming back to TV but not really a guilty pleasure at all.

Dancing with the Stars no doubt. I have a thing for that dark haired russian. Legs, heels, tights, spray-tanned skin. What's not to love.

I am usually sitting with the laptop while my wife watches whatever crap Bravo has going (best hair stylist? Sheesh). The Parent Trap usually suckers me in. Again with the wife I end up watching Grey's Anatomy, Desperate Housewives and Idol.

A lot of these movies and TV shows are ones that I have no problem watching the wife. I'd never watch them on my own however. Quite simply, these are good opps to spend "quality" time with the wife where I am not counting down the seconds before the show ends (I used to do this when my wife watched the OC....hated that show). There are some shows I just flat out refuse to watch, like Brother's And Sisters, What About Brian, and October Road. No Fing Way.

As for music, I love everything except hip hop and country. Absolutely can't stand any of it. Also, while I like metal, I am NOT a fan of the stuff where they just scream. But, I always have a soft spot for music from the 80s. Most run away from it, but I embrace it. That's the stuff I spent many a summer night as a kid listening to when carrying around my boombox or walkman. I love it all from the 80s...the bubble gum pop, the metal, the cheesy synth stuff.....I love it all.

If I did have to favor one style of music over another....it would be progressive music. The complex passages, usually made up of clever and strong lyrics telling a story and long instrumental pieces is just stuff I love. Bands from the 70s like Genesis, Emerson Lake and Palmer, Yes, Pink Floyd, and Rush.....and then the new neo-prog stuff from the 80s from bands like Marillion, IQ and others...to the stuff today from IQ and the pro-metal band Dream Theater. Two albums that get heavy rotation on my iPod are IQ's "Subterranea" and Dream Theater's "Scenes From A Memory". Just incredible concept albums that tell interesting, deep stories.
