Fuckin' A. The King Of The Monsters.

I'm actually starting to look forward to it, once I found out he would be fighting other monsters and not just the lame ass military.

Hopefully it wont suffer from the boredom inducting hour+ lead up like that awful King Kong movie.

The cast looks great too.

That King Kong movie needed a good 45 minutes cut out of it, but there was actually some good stuff in there, I thought.

The same cannot be said for the last Godzilla attempt.

There's no way this can't be a huge improvement.

Yeah, despite being overlong, I enjoyed King Kong more than I disliked it. But I've been a sucker for Naomi Watts ever since Mullholand Drive.

Godzilla looks good in this trailer. It looks like it takes place on an epic scale, which was one of the main reasons that Cloverfield worked so well. Godzilla getting chased by Broderick bumblefucking around Madison Square Garden for half the movie...not quite as impressive.

Does anyone know what city this takes place in? I'm assuming either New York or Tokyo.

It doesn't look like New York. I'd assume Tokyo since setting the last one in the US met with disaster. Then again, the US military is clearly involved...

So it could be pretty much anywhere, then?

Ah, the city that aliens and disasters attack.

For how many times it's been destroyed, you'd think the rent would be cheaper.

The best scene in King Kongis where they fall into the ravine and all those horrifying bugs attack them. The T-Rex fight was second. Other than that the movie blew donkey balls. Jack Black sucked and Adrian Brody was a limp dick.

When I was in high school/college, my friends and I used to pop in bootleg Godzilla movies (ones with no dubbing or subs), get high as hell and make up our own dialogue and story.

I'm just glad that it doesn't appear to have Godzilla rampaging through cities only to be countered by the "secret" US weapon.... Mechagodzilla.

And Godzilla would kick the every loving shit outta King Kong. His atomic breath would destroy the dumb ape.

Mothra is cool, her powers are underrated IMO.

The best Godzilla villains will always be King Ghidorah, Mechagodzilla, Orga, Gigan, Hedorah, Biollante, and Destoroyah.

Some only appear in one movie, so they're not nearly as well known as the Big 3 King Ghidorah, Mechagodzilla, and Hedorah.

Mothra's back story was the best, had to do with some island and Mothra protected it and its inhabitants. Mothra also had those two tiny Japaneses chicks who acted like its interpreter and would sing these really freaky songs.

The Atomic age spawned like a billion monster movies. Here in the US is was mainly giant bugs. The Japanese made crazy looking monsters and then had them fight each other, which is so much cooler.

I've always wanted to see more American horror icons fight each other. Freddy Vs. Jason sucked. Freddy Vs. Jason Vs. Michael Myers Vs. Pinhead. Leatherface Vs. Ash in a chainsaw fight. John Doe Vs. Hannibal Lecter in a game of chess.

We would do this with Playmate Review videos.

Kerri Kendall is the only time we were struck silent. Her video is by far Michael Bay's best work.

Personally I'd be happier with an updated Six Million Dollar Man and having him face the alien robot version of Bigfoot.
