Disneyland/Legoland California

Summer vacation in Carlsbad/Oceanside/San Diego area. Looking like mid/late June. Never been on the Pacific Coast - I've got about 9 days. Lookin' to take the five year old to Disney/Lego. Anyone familiar? Hopper for the two Disney Parks in a day, or am I gonna need two? Any other info about the area? Best beaches etc.

Coronado San Diego, IIRC it's called Hotel de Coronado. Incredible, beach is highly rated and I think it is enjoyable enough for mom, dad and kids.
