I haven't seen it yet....and frankly, at this point I'll just wait. My "have to see it" feelings I had back when it was promoted to death in early December have subsided.

I haven't seen it yet either, but this is what I ahve heard through the grapevine..... LONG 3+ hours and Kong does not appear in the first hour. Once he shows up, I heard it was good.

Don't listen to Pup or Swerb on movie reviews. Both have horrible taste in movies. Pup reviewed Day after Tommorrow and called it a "must see." Swerb on the other hand listed 'About Schmidt' in his top 20 all time movie list, and also loved 'The Notebook' and 'Birdcage'. Enough said........

Well I saw King Kong and loved it. I wouldn't consider it any kind of classic but it did put a new spin on an old story. The relationship built between King and Naomi is fantastic and the visual shots are wonderful...cgi or not.

Pure popcorn. I enjoyed the escape and believe it or not the 3 hours flew right bye. As to seeing it in a theater. I thought it was worth it however you are probably sure to get more extras than you can shake a stick at from a Peter Jackson DVD release.

Forgot to mention that the humor associated with Kong was fantastic. In the past we have been given big, nasty, mean Kong. This one (thanks to the 3 hours) allowed us to see a new side. I hate to say it...but almost human.

Those that have seen it will know what I am talking about.

Finally saw this. Not impressed. And I'm in love with Naomi Watts. Granted, I never saw any of the previous Kongs, so I had no frame of reference.

The dinosaurs, the cheesy CGI, the story sucked.

Special effects were great when they didn't look fake. There were some good parts ... Kong looked real and was done well for the most part.

Came in with very high expectations, left disappointed.
