Just because mother is stupid and I have to remind him of everything... Louie is back Thursday.

This makes me happy.

Honestly, Louie's neighbor being the gay guy from Seinfeld (We're taking the armoire!) almost made up for Tristan Thompson.... almost.

Is this show better than Lucky Louie? Because that show was an abortion.

At this point Louie is elevating comedy to a higher plane. His strange views on life inhabit these mini-movies, most of which don't even have jokes anymore, and he makes it hilarious. The recent masturbation episode was fantastic.

Moderator: Louie, in fact, you're actually the only person we could find to come on the show to defend masturbation.

Louie (comedien/masturbator): Well I like it. It's easy, and it's fun, and it doesn't hurt anybody.

Louis talks about Carlin. Worth a listen.

The show has kinda lost it's edge. Honestly other than the Doug Stanhope and the Afghanistan episodes (both were brilliant), it's been blah. Even his stand up bits in the show are getting lame. And Pamela Adlon SUCKS, she was shitty on Lucky Louie.

But shit, there's always season 3.

eh, he is funny, and orginal, plays very well to the smarter than thou ass sniffers who always gotta be on a higher plane then the rest of us mouth breathers. Or, at least thats the vibe I am starting to feel, and I have known about CK for a long time, going back to the late 90's, Pootie Tang, and his appearences on O&A.

This is what i'm starting to think also. The thing that kills me is he's a millionaire comic and he acts likes life just shits on him. Even his FX commercial with the rain cloud following him, it should be raining $100 bills.

Of course CDT hates a show that isn't really a comedy and is actually an anthropology of the shit Louis has been through in life.

Season 2 has elevated way higher than even 1.

But CDT and OJ hate intellectual TV, so I'm not surprised.

Go fuck yourself.

Your elitist view of what is "intellectual" TV is laughable.

It must be so fucking brutal to be Louis C.K., with all his money and fame.

You act like his comedy is some high brow shit, it's dick and fart jokes....

Just watched Timecop like 3 times in a row. :thumb up:

I maintain my POV on Louis CK, and would point out that Patrice O'Neal among a host of comedians use life experiences as part of their comedy. Anthropology? ::doh::

That's the cuntface response I expected.

You're right, only elitist assholes could possibly understand the complexity that is Louie. I mean the shit is so goddamn ground breaking that people will be citing it for centuries to come as an example of what intellectual TV is.

Anytime someone levels the slightest criticism of a show or movie you're a fan of, they just have to be of lower intelligence.

Everything I've said about the show is 100% right and not even debatable. In fact, i'm not sure if it's even possible to be more right than I am on Louie.

I'm obviously just operating on a higher, more right level than you.

Now get in your Prius, drive to Whole Foods, and go fuck yourself.

So, again, you still don't get the Louie isn't really a comedy?

It's not supposed to be funny?

You don't get that yet?

Yeah, over your simple head.

I see what you did there.

Don't you get it? IT'S NOT SUPPOSED TO BE FUNNY!

Even though it's listed as a comedy by F/X and every other site on Earth. Even the people at F/X are too dumb to understand it, goes right over their simple heads. IT'S NOT SUPPOSED TO BE FUNNY!

It's obviously so fucking smart only art house fags can possibly understand it.

I think I read that he just brought in an editor. She used to edit for Woody Allen or something. But yeah, for what it probably costs, and the critical acclaim it receives, this show will end when Louis ends it.

I love CK's stand up and this may be the most disappointed I've ever been about a series.

It isn't funny (nor is it meant to be). The show is amazing, but is nothing like his stand up. It is an anthology, not a comedy. Hell, you should understand it more than anyone.

Agree. Taboo is funny.

But is seems he is a big deal partly because most other guys have too much respect for others to be that openly honest. Especially with subjects involving their kids.
Discretion can still be noble, can't it?

I almost erased this, but heck with it. In the spirit of Louie, it's honest.
