I'm guessing the funeral they showed was for Jesco's wife who passed away last year. I get the freak show value of their whole lifestyle, but I'm not sure if I get it enough to warrant a feature film. Without Jesco, however, that whole family is never heard of past the early 80's.

No doubt, without Jesco, they are just another Appalachian family full of drug addicts and outlaws. Coming from Southeastern Kentucky, I have a "White" segment in my own bloodline down there. To much idle time, and easy access to "welfare" and mind altering substances.
