From what I can gather the prudent thing to do is to walk around the city and try to convince your window reflection that talking to your doctor about the missing boner is the right decision.
Your doctor will then give you the pill...you know, assuming you are healthy enough.
When you get the pills, you call up your buddies for one of your wednesday afternoon jam sessions where you parady Elvis songs. You follow this up by sitting in a bathtub you've dragged out to the middle of nowhere. Once in the bathtub you can patiently wait until the "time is right." Once the "time is right" the missing boner will magically appear.
I guess.
The only thing I can't figure out is what this all has to do with Checkov.

Brady Quinn can't Checkov for shit and DA ain't much better. We need to bring in Kevin Kolb or Matt Hasselbeck or Daryll Clark (in the second round) if you're really talking Checkovs.
(Just getting a jump on turning this thread into another Browns QB thread-jack. Let's see if it's got legs).

Guy was dealing with depression and committed suicide. I can't figure out how that becomes comedy fodder.
Of course I just turned off Matt Patrick filling in for Triv who said something like "Boner died, that's something Viagra won't help". Just not funny.

If the guy was going to sex thearapy like Woods and Steve Phillips, he's get more respect from the media and this crowd.
I mean a "sex addiction" is much more serious and real than some depression type condition.
I guess you guys are lucky and blessed not knowing anyone that suffers from this terrible disease. Good for you.

Unfortunately Yogi, just like no 2 folks who have the illness are the same, either are the family & friends who deal with them...
I can't answer for other people on these boards, but I'm sure that they're just using humor on a terrible situation and don't really mean any disrespect to the individuals who actually have it?
Personally, I've lost 2 family memebers and my best friend to this shit and we now have 2 other family members with it...Been to therapists over the years to try and deal and understand it, etc...
Humor has been one way that I've been able to deal with it...Hell, when my MiL was in her balanced state she would always crack us up with stuff like, "Normal is a setting on a washing machine" & ""My delusions are better than your reality"...Loved that she could see humor in it as well
Some people take it very seriously all the time and that's fine too...when a sick person isn't on their meds then you should take it very seriously and try and help them...
I always tell people who deal with BP to read some Chato B Stewart (who has BP)...he makes light of a touchy subject in a humorous way...
I'm sure that you know that there is approximately 30% of people with the disease who never get help because they don't want to look weak and those around them don't understand what's wrong with them...Not sure if that's what happened to this guy? Sounds like his family has known for sometime and I'm sure that they've gone through hell trying to help and support him, but circumstances like this happen all the time...His family will beat themselves up over this and wonder what else they could have done to prevent it? Unfortuantely, until the laws are changed and the immediate family has the right to commit these souls to make sure that they are taking meds, talking to doctors, etc: then this will continue to happen...
Bi-Polar isn't an excuse, it's an explanation

I don't know, I always thought Who's The Boss was worse. Tony Danza never was, never is, and never will be funny, entertaining, or even bearable.

Fuck that, filing. I mean, no disrespect, but fuck that.
Suicide is the second most selfish act to actual murder. Life is such a gift and to throw it away like that, when so many others would do ANYTHING for the chance to just take a breath in the morning... he deserves any ridicule he gets. Richly.
He had a father! His father will have to bury him. So, so, so selfish.

The next day, same thing. Howard was like, "Christ, this poor bastard" The next day Robin read that the cancer had now spread to ______ and she went on to another story. Howard waited a few minutes, interrupted her and said, "Robin, breaking news here. Doctors now say Mickey Mantle's cancer has spread to his car."
My jaw dropped and then I laughed for about ten straight minutes. Not because cancer's funny or because Mantle was dying, but because some shit is simply funny and it's the way some people look at it. That broke a lot of tension and it actually reiterated how rotten a situation Mantle's was.
Don't like it, go a different route. Send a fucking sympathy card or post on some online tribute.
Every time someone dies and there's a thread on this same tired shit. You guys can go ahead and grieve for people you don't know about all you want. I'll find a way to laugh about whatever I can.
