Probably going to see it this weekend. Hugely awesome buzz at this point after "opening."

Worst review out there (and holding it down at metacritic) is the New York daily news pouting about New York Fan getting ripped to pieces by it.

That actually looks like it has the potential to be really, really good. Oswalt is one of the better comedians out there and it'll be interesting to see if he can pull off a psychotic sports fan.

I've seen a couple of screen grabs used on KSK and had no idea that this was even made. I really hope it reaches the theaters out here or at the very least I can view on HBO.

Going to need to see more about Up in the Air to be sure it is not just a glorified chick flick, but if it lives up to Its Lost in Translation hype (and the hype continues) will be real jacked up about it as well.

Up in the Air and Men Who Stare At Goats are on the list. In particular, Up In the Air looks to be potentially great. But to be honest, I'm pretty clueless about Big Fan.

Still on haitus other than a few flicks here an there...just too much going on with the 3 month old granddaughter that's still in the PICU.

Congenitial Diaphragmatic Hernia. The baby was born with her stomach and 1/3 of her intestines in her chest cavity...which meant her left lung didn't develop. Surgery at two weeks to put things back where they should be, but it's a long process to heal, and lots of complications are normal with this condition. But she's a fighter, and we're still looking at her hopefully coming home around Christmas. Only 50% of babies born with this live past a year, but if they get to that threshold, they often do well the rest of their lives...so it's just a damn waiting game, one that's a hell of burden to my daughter, and all of us.

So I'll probably pick things back up towards the end of the year, and I'll be trying to catch up with the non-suck films as we're going.

Big Fan alert -- this movie is playing at the Cleveland Cinematheque tonite and tomorrow (Sat, 11/21 and Sun 11/22). Times are 5:15 for Saturday and 6:30 for Sunday.
