series on DVD

I am close to the end of 6 feet under and I need a new series to fill the void. Any suggestions?

I have never seen an episode from the following shows, which would be worth taking up (on DVD) and in what order?

1.) 24
2.) Lost
3.) Sopranos
4.) Deadwood
5.) Carnivale

Thanks
Coming from a Wolverine, we're the football equivalent of a formerly abused wife of a meth addict who just remarried the safe nice guy. We're just glad we have someone who's aware that it's a rivalry and that tackling on defense is integral. Baby steps.

Furls, if you've never seen an episode of the Sopranos, I'd start there. The last two seasons (five and six) have been disappointing, but it's a good show. Great acting, and for my money ... mafia dramas are just great entertainment.

Deadwood is excellent as well. I've heard good things about Carnivale, but have never watched it.

"24" is good, but IMO, no network drama can compete with the grit and realism of the HBO shows.

If you're into Six Feet Under, then I'd go with either The Sopranos or Deadwood.

The Wire is the best show on TV. I've been watching the reruns on BET, but I'm sure it's better with all the nudity and swearing left in, as well as no commercial breaks.

Actually, this is only slightly OT, but when I said The Wire was the best show on TV, I somehow forgot about Heroes. Damn that show is incredible.
