Who is the best/worst?

I do not listen to the show all the much anymore but I seem to find it when he has subs.

Jay Moore is tops, just is. IMO it should be called the Jay Moore show, dude is funny MOFO.

Today's guys are THE worst, a close second are the Schlar Bros (SP?). Today was Ptero?, dude sounds like Peter Griffith (Family Guy). Schlar Bros watched way to much Captain Kangaroo as kids, gay as gay can be. Both of those sets of subs are total frauds as well, at least when it comes to football, no doubt they just regurgitate what they read from SI or hear from the real talking heads.

Lamps is solid most times, but he is too..what is the word stoic or middle of the road with his tone. Needs to lose it and get crazy once in a while.

The brothers and pretty much else suck. The people that were on today arent even listenable. I actually hate Whitlock as well. Talks race too much, like his articles, not him on radio.

That is why Mohr is so awesome as the sub, he knows he is all about being Mohr. Plus Mohr is a listener to the show and he knows it gets very stale, so he really changes pace. He knows his boundaries and limitations.

Not a big fan of Siciliano, he has an arrogance to his tone, and he also seems to be one of the type to just repeat what he hears elsewhere as his own well thought out stuff sometimes. He's not the worst by any means, I just find him OK.

Mohr kills it. I love his stuff. Search for 'Mohr Morgan' on YouTube and be prepared to laugh your ass off (it is a segemnt from the Opie & Anthony show).

The Sklars are good too but I can do without the Indie rock interviews, etc. Small Wonder blasts. Nuff said.

Lamps is good. Whitlock is too biased. Matt Money & Papadekos (sp?) and Roger Lodge are terrible. Siciliano is the overall most solid sub out of all of them.

He figures it is the biggest stage he will ever get on some might as well use it for his sound off.

He is also a great stand up comedian off the show, I am over the whole Cleveland thing.

He actually enjoys Cleveland in small doses, I have it from an insider.

Rome is good on some days and just OK on others. Probably way better in person.

Of the current rotation, Mohr and the Sklars are my faves. Petros and Money can suck it, and Whitlock is too much into his one or two topics he decides he's going to talk about (like Serena Williams needing to drop some lbs). Siciliano is OK. My all-time fave substitute host is Steve Czaban, who has his own show in the morning on 1350 AM, which has replaced Mike and Mike for my morning drive. I love 1350's lineup, which is threatening to knock 850 off my dial:

Siciliano is better than Rome. When he's on it's the only time Rome's show is any good.

And Jay Mohr is about as funny as syphilis. He's last generation's Dane Cook and nothing more than a whiny little douche. I think Jimmy Fallon could be an equivalent too. Mohr was a lot like Fallon on SNL, never able to keep a straight face when delivering one of his own jokes that he thought was hilarious (but it really wasn't).

Brian Fellows was horrible. Tracy Morgan shouting, "I'm Brian Fellows" as he brings in different animals never struck me as funny.

Maybe me standards are too high. I grew up with Hartman, Myers, Carvey, Miller, etc on SNL. Some of that was hit or miss too, but far more consistent than the guys who have been on over the past decade.

Mac you are missing the point of appreciating the impression. Mohr sounds as much like Morgan as Morgan does, add to the fact most of what comes out of Morgan's mouth is stupid makes it even more entertaining. If you want to say you don't find Mohr humor funny then fine, personal preference etc... But criticizing his impersonation(s) is just being subjective b/c he does many very good impersonations.

BTW you question how Mohr could make a living off of not being funny, he is an extremely successful comedian. He is one of the most desired attractions at comedy clubs.

I'm gonna pull a Mac here (:poke), trust me I have first hand knowledge of how well Mohr does and how desired he is through a very close connection in the comedy club biz.
