Don't forget History of the World Part 1 and Abbot and Costello Meet the Wolfman.

I also found Airplane 2 to be almost as funny as part 1 simply on the strength of Bill Shatner. He's a freaking riot.

Instant classic on Hangover? No way.
It's good but nowhere near a top 20 or 30 comedy.
Overhyped in my book.

I should also mention Porky's, Hollywood Knights, Better Off Dead, and The Sure Thing as some of my all time favorites.

Its "Abbott & Costello Meet Frankenstein" but Wolfman and Dracula are in it. Great, funny movie. Great for the kids!

Now for my favs.

Mel Brooks was a genious in "Young Frankenstein" & "Blazing Saddles"

The scene with Gene Hackman & Peter Boyle may be the best 5 minutes of comedy in history, watch it again!

Others: Caddyshack, Office Space, Trading Places, Monty Python & The Holy Grail (Loved Spamalot on Broadway), The Odd Couple, Harvey, Ghostbusters.

I watch Planes, Trains & Autimobiles every Thanksgiving night, tradition at my house.

Of Course, Vacation, Christmas Vacation and Ferris Bueller are all great.

My favorite Jack Black movie is Shallow Hal.

And a very funny comedy from years past is "The Philadelphia Story" with Cary Grant, Kat Hepburn & Jimmy Stewart! Top that cast!

1. holy grail: 1st time I saw it I was baked and the "killer rabbit" scene made me leave the room. I was laughing so hard I couldn't breath.
2. big lebowski: I will attend lebowski fest one of these years.
3. young frankenstein: watched it with my folks when I was a kid and now I watch it with my kids. They love it.
4. dumb and dumber: brilliant.
5. animal house: made me want to go to college.
6. dazed and confused: saw it in c-bus at a midnight showing with a packed theater. when they show milla rollin a joint during the opening credits the place went nuts.
7. slapshot:"old time hockey, Eddie Shore".
8. borat: "this is my son, Huey Lewis".
9. ferris bueller's day off: saw it 5 times in the theater. I was 15. Nuff said.
10. stripes: "Well I got the shit kicked out of me in Wisconsin..." The year we got cable when I was a kid. Back when HBO showed R movies at any hour.
