Favorite Comedians?

Absolutely love comedy. Half of my iPod is probably dedicated to stand-up. And, as always, I'm looking for new stuff, or guys I've missed. So, I want to see what everyone else likes.

Here's some of my favorites.

Doug Stanhope - Vulgar, but is probably in my top 5 of all time. Just a funny guy.
Lewis Black - Just a genius.
Patton Oswalt - I find him hilarious. A funnier version of Brian Posehn.
Dave Chappelle - His stand up and the Chappelle show are amazing.
Mitch Hedberg - Probably my favorite of all time, died too young.
Brian Regan - Perfect timing. Just a great comedian. And does it without getting vulgar, which is a feat.
Denis Leary - No Cure for Cancer is awesome. Lock and Load is almost as good.

So, what's everyone else's favorites? I'm looking for new material.

The two guys mentioned so far that I really like are Doug Stanhope and Ron White. The late Dennis Wolfberg was awesome, and even though he's not my favorite person in the world, Robert Schimmel is hilarious.

Ron White's last performance on comedy central was a disaster. I like his older stuff.

Those are the 2 guys that consistently make me laugh on the XM comedy channel.

sorry but i'm going to go all old school on ya'.

george carlin was the funniest guy of all time. hands down. nobody has had as long and as varied a career as him.

bill cosby was the funniest clean comic who could make you laugh without using any cuss words. red skelton was right there too. i swear, no comedians today think they can even survive the industry without using the f-word gratuitously and yet cosby and skelton could.

richard pryor was the first truly vulgar comic that i liked.

eddie murphy made me laugh so hard during his "raw" concert that i peed my pants.

back in the day, jay leno was a pretty funny stand-up comedian too before he hosted the tonight show.

robin williams was always good for a laugh with all of his character voices too.

finally, rodney dangerfield always made me laugh and there was this one hbo special that he hosted back in the early 80's with a bunch of young comics that included, among others, bob saget, sam kinison, yakov smirnoff, rita rudner and louie anderson that i thought was just the funniest comedy concert that i have ever watched. there was one guy on there who i can't remember his name, but i remember his skit in which he used balloons to put under his shirt and did this whole routine of the stereo-typical all-american football team that was so damn funny that i actually had the beverage i was drinking come out my nose. hee-hee!!!
