Totally 80's

Unread postby FUDU » Fri Jun 12, 2009 11:24 pm

Inspired by the Magnum PI/Han Solo thread.

Pick your favorite 80's TV opening. You might say the LCD of these choices is the theme Cheesy?

I went A-Team, but damned if The Dukes weren't a very close 2nd. If you grew up in the South in the 80's, the Dukes was hard to beat.

If you were between the ages of say 11-12 to 16-17 for the prime of most of those shows then you probably liked at least half of them, probably for two big reasons. One they all had at hot chicks as regulars or that made frequent appearances on the show (Stephanie Kramer is probably the most underrated of all women in those shows) and most of them had some cool cars, at least for the times.

The Charger, the 3 Ferrari's, Knight Rider, plenty of car chases.

Heather Thomas, Stephanie Kramer, MacPherson, Randy Oakes the hordes of babes in Miami Vice etc...

Plus how can you beat the sound effects of Steve Austin in action. The keen eye sight and super hearing ...do do do do do do.

Of the choices given, Miami Vice is the walk-away winner. It has the three components necessary: Great music, boobs, and butts.

I didn't live in the South but this was the same decision I had to make. One of my dad's co-workers had purchased one of the General Lees they used in the show and still has it. Awesome car but I was so distraught when he brought it over and opened the doors...

It's Magnum PI with The A-Team a close second.

"King Kamehameha Club this is Rick."

Two of the best 4 man charachter groupings ever. Two of the best theme songs ever. The Hawaii factor gives Magunum the edge.
