Wow that's a damn good manip...
Playing here is the closest thing to heaven. Really, I mean it's amazing to be in a place where the fans truly cherish their football team and stick behind them win or lose. We players love them, too. I feel a sense of accomplishment playing here, we are a special breed of football players with a great opportunity." ~ tOSU LB Brian Rolle

Very well done by editing and manipulating clips with his own CG. Love that he threw Ch'p in there.

I've read the script for the movie that is going into production this fall and I will say that it is not as Earth based as the fan has envisioned, nor does it have Sinestro wielding a yellow ring. It is definitely an intergalactic adventure that is rooted in the modern Green Lantern stories and it may be pointing towards the fall of Hal Jordan caused by the Parallax impurity in the Central Power Battery on Oa.

But this fan made trailer is enough to get me excited yet again. Green Lantern has a lot of potential as a big movie franchise, maybe more that any other comic due to its sci-fi roots. It's kind of Star Wars meets the superheroes.

The whole Green Lantern Corps (with Sinestro as Hal's mentor) is huge in the script. Kilowog is obviously there and there are references to the ring passing by Guy Gardner and Clark Kent as it searches upon Abin Sur's request before finding Hal Jordan.

Not too sure if Nathan Fillion is actually in the running. I think they're going younger for Jordan - late 20s or early 30s.

Chris Pine is out, but that's not too shocking. I don't see how he'd want to fill two iconic roles, both with similar swagger and mentality.

The latest rumors have been centering around Henry Cavill.

They have a bit more time as they have wisely pushed the film back to a summer release in 2011. That likely means we'll be waiting a bit longer for the next Batman film. Superman is up in the air. The Captain Marvel project stalled due to the writer's strike. There is an excellent Green Arrow script out there that I've read (Escape from Supermax) that I'd love to see get made.

I think Martin Campbell is more than capable of pulling Green Lantern off. He did a fine job directing Casino Royale and I'll admit to liking both Zorro movies fairly well.

Oh, and I forgot about the Green Lantern: First Flight trailer.

http://movies.yahoo.com/movie/1810077708/video/12839105

This comes out at the end of July on DVD and Blu-Ray. The DC Animated stuff has been really good. Wonder Woman was fantastic. I enjoyed Gotham Knight. Liked New Frontier and also liked Superman:Doomsday.

Looking forward to seeing GL in something on his own. There've been rumors of a GL animated series in the past. I could see WB possibly doing that as part of a push leading to the GL feature film in two years.
