I don't know where the Saw thread is, or what thread it was in....but I saw Saw III the other day. Not as good as the first two, which is to be expected I guess with a 3rd installment. And, I thought that unlike the first two, the ending was very predictable. I nailed the ending about halfway through to almost a T that there were two tests going on and how people would play into it all. Can't say the same thing for the first two, which were totally unpredictable (great) endings.

I recently "saw" I and II, and liked both. Liked I much more than II. I like movies that are realistic, and what made Saw I great was the fact that it was very realistic. Plus, not knowing Jigsaw and what he was all about made it a better movie, especially the ending.
II, the whole angle with Marky Mark and his son was hokey. And to me, the angle on who ended up being the other bad guy was predictable.
I heard III was brutally gory, which the first two necessarily weren't.
It's one of the next movies in my Netflix queue.

Yeah, the 3rd one is a lot more gory. Just the whole feel of the movie was a ton different than the first two....
I agree the 1st one was great, and when I first saw it I was totally surprised by the movie as it was nothing close to what I thought it would be. The only thing good about III is how they show how some of the events of I played out. Kind of cool there.

It's not Marky Mark, it's Donny, the New Kid on the Block

Marky Mark rules. Do not confuse him with a New Kid(even if it is his brother)

Saw 1 and 2 were much better than Saw 3. 3 was just a completely different feel. They went for more gore, and it just wasn't anywhere near as believable. Plus, the whole reason I liked 1 and 2 so much were the twists at the end, and 3 really didn't have much of a twist. I agree, though, that the scene where it showed how 1 and 2 played out was really neat to see.
