http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0814130/The Hammer is Adam Carolla's boxing comedy from '07. Netflixed it after hearing about it from time to time on the Carolla podcast and whenever Carolla's on the Simmons podcast.
It's very entertaining, and manages to be funny but also touching. Just about the perfect role for Carolla. One of those little independent gems that slips through the cracks because there isn't much of a marketing budget.
You can see Carolla's influence in alot of the writing, and his delivery is pitch-perfect. Really one of the better sports comedies out there. Check it out.

Just watched it, thanks to your recommendation. Enjoyed it. Never knew Corolla had a background in both carpentry and boxing. Apparently he helped build the gym they use for training in the movie. And Ozzie in the movie is just his buddy Ozzie who had no acting experience.
Definitely worth watching.
