I am a big fan of Kevin Smith, but Clerks 2 was extremely disappointing. I only laughed out loud about 3 times the entire flick. Smith went way, way, way out of bounds with a scene involving a donkey and a fat guy named sexy stud.
I would rank Clerks about one notch ahead of Dogma at the bottom of the list of Kevin Smith's work. No where near as good as the original.

Finally saw this.
The donkey scene was just wrong. And I agree, not as good as the original, which was a classic.
Maybe not as many laugh out loud moments, but still alot of the classic Kevin Smith dialogue. Randal is hysterical as usual, and as politically incorrect as any character I can ever remember from a film.
And Rosario Dawson is hot.

Minus the donkey scene.
This is a good, funny movie. I saw it in the theater and had a great time.
The dialogue as usual is the highlight.
I'll add this to my Kevin Smith collection.

They should have never done a sequel. Look, if you're working in a convienience store out of high school, not knowing what road to take in life or what life has in store for you, one could call you misguided or perhaps immature. If the same two cats are flipping burgers in their thirties, well, that pretty much qualifies as being a loser.
