I hear ya Peekachu...I hear ya..."look over the long haul".......I just think it wouldn't kill anyone to eat a slice of humble pie either....or just change the drum beat slightly ?
I get your "Pipe = cyclical Market"...long term always goes up... comparison. Totally irrelevant to the point at hand...since no one's denying past performances, and I'm only talking current slump.......But since you're comparing The Economy and Pipe...
Gridlock. None of us heard from you over the past couple years. Not til the road got bumpy over a 6 week period. No comments on the ridculous past couple years. Those results were acceptable, right? I mean, from a credibilty standpoint might you better off acknowledging that before lamenting the rought times? Just sayin'...
Similarly....$700billion Bailout = Pipes MLB III bailout. (FINISH the game man !!)
Conversely... like ExxonMobil making record profits during this same slump....there ARE some fella's out there hitting 7 nails on the head out of 10....rather than 3.
You wouldn't have any links or documentation would ya? Because a lot of us would love to get down with that guy. Including me and Lead and anyone who follows the show and his picks. But somehow I'm thinking we're not gonna get a name or actual documentation. For whatever reason.
Can't you bring THEM off the bench ?? Even Tressel will sit a 5th yr proven senior for a hot true freshman....no?
Yes. Again, I will call them myself and get them on the show too. I just need those names.
All in good fun Peek...just addressing the white elephant in the room.
I dig it man. You're right. Just saying you shouldn't be afraid to drop in and drop a note when things are good. And don't look now sir, but I see Kansas and OK State are already on the good side of the line today.![]()

Good luck sir. If nothing else, the host of that show has a voice you could listen to for days.

I got my ass handed to me in MLB II (the last one Pipe played all the way through)
Not my place to call out names.....but look through MLB 3....and JP's Survivor...and Pick 17....(which Pipe avoided like the plague)......there are 2-3 guys that make Pipe look like little red riding hood...lost in the woods.
There have been posters calling for these guys to take over the airwaves.
And AGAIN....I give Pipe all the props in the world...he's had an unbelievable 3 year run from what I can see in your archives.......NO ONE is denying that...
I'm just saying....as a relative newcomer to this County.....I think there are a couple new sherriffs in town.
Ok...gotta go watch Pavlick dominate.
I hope Pipe picked Hopkins !!
(all in FUN peekachu...go take a pill)

In reading the posts, I noticed the comment about the Survivor game being run J.P. I for one think the pool has some value ($50 entry fee) considering the winner take all pot is $4,500. Not to mention as the defending champion of Survivor the pot of $6,000 last year wasn't too bad either.

They all have value AB. But guys who just knock down 70% like they're falling off a chair are wasting themselves at that money. They should own hotels and empires in Vegas and Macau. Not cocking around with us low rollers.
Shit, If I'm guaranteed 70% like GridLock is saying why woulld you go to work every day? I gotta believe there's either a wee bit-a-bullshittin' going on or the biggest waste of talent since Len Bias.
Jst sayin'.

1).....you yourself said you haven't heard from me in years......so am I MIA ? or am I busy "cocking around with you lowrollers" ? Which is it ? I can give you a hint if you need one.
2)....no one GUARANTEED anyone hitting 70% Dr. Spin....I was just pointing out that some poster's are having much better 2008's than this Pipe fella....across the boards. Pipe's Town Criers are much louder than anyone else's by the way. Look closer to home for people broadcasting guarantees Peek.
3) Pipe must be cocking around with HUGE rollers....if taking $5000 worth of candy from us Pavlik fan babies isn't even worth a try ?? Wow.
etc etc...yadda yadda...
Time to go see which Browns show up.

I'm completely lost on the Bunker Hill reference and I would sincerely congratulate you on the MLB Pick30 2nd place thing but it appears your previous post was pretty much entirely devoted to that end.
I'm sure you're a straight-up dude because Rich typically surrounds himself with those types of folks, but you'll forgive me looking for a bit more regarding the tout services and picks. As you may be aware, those fellas tend to be a bit manipulative with the info they provide. There is that history in the industry. I'm not saying you're that guy. I'm just saying it's caveat emptor with anyone in that line of work/pleasure.
Other than that though GL, I'm not sure what else to tell ya. Are ya asking if Pipe's picks are down from the pace of the past few years? Yeah, they are.
Are ya asking for the ridiculous nature of the articles and the show to be toned down as a result? Not gonna happen. It's kind of the point of both exercises. But I do appreciate you keeping it civil. Hopefully you're of the opinion that worked both ways.
Action Boy- I hear ya. I get the competitive thing and you're right. It's still about wins and losses and being better than the other guy and it always will be. Doesn't matter whether its playing ball, poker or putting money down based on your time and research.
Best of luck to you both at it too. Anybody but the house (unless you're the house).

Didn't enter MLB III because I smartly didn't want to lose money again. But I did monitor the league and gotta say that Lead Pipe did bail out. He may see it as not having enough time becauseOh please, picking a team is not rocket science.he just has too many irons in the fire, so much so, that he didn't even get to the point of looking at the value of those contests.
How much time do you need to pick a team even if you just threw out a haphazard guess for the remainder of the teams you had left to FINISH the 30 game contest? I see it as a sore loser.
Sorry that's my take.

So you lost some money maybe, are those the only picks you made? can you not come up with anything of your own. I myself look over Leads picks as well as a few others, and use the information to make my own decisions, I've won alot of money with lead over the past few years, but the man isnt the savior, he's just a guy with good knowledge who isn't afraid to put his picks online, sure he talks himself up in his articles, its hysterical I think. You people need to grow up its all about entertainment it makes for a good read, Even with losing weeks I'm still making money on Leads picks, if he loses the first couple I'll load up on the rest. Get a strategy, a game plan.
