Well, the fall gambling season is officially at the 1/3 pole. Seven weeks in, and 14 more to go until the NFL Championship games.
*note - I consider the Super Bowl it's own gambling season. And I lump all hoops together as their own season for tracking purposes.*
Big change I made a couple years ago was to track all plays, and institute a strict money management policy to prevent against stupid bets. Or finishing seasons above .500 and losing money due to poor money management. It's hard to make money gambling. Not because it's impossible to pick games at a 55-60% clip. But because it's so easy to make larger and foolish wagers when you are either up or down alot.
Season to date, I am +$41. I'm happy with that, because I got off to an awful start to the NFL season.
NCAAF 52-40-1 (57%)
+$142
NFL 30-30-2 (50%)
-$26
MLB Playoffs 8-8 (50%)
-$75
Let the grind continue ...
