Pittsburgh Now -4.5 in Super Bowl XL

Over/under is 47.

Who do you like? Whats your wager? Straight up? Tease the Seahawks? Parlay?

It is not in my genetic fiber to wager on the Stillers. Which leaves me with two options. Bet the Seahawks, or don't bet. Actually, not betting on the Super Bowl isn't an option either ... so I am left with only one choice.

Seatlle plus the points and in the money line.
They have been the best team besides Indy ALL YEAR LONG.
They have the NFL MVP
They have the most underrated QB
They shut down the top WR in football and made him cry like a bitch.
They are PISSED
Seattle 27 Pissburgh 17
Oh yeah, they also have the best offensive lineman in football.

Don't forget about their schedule though. Here is a run-down of their opponents this year...
(from most recent, excluding the play-offs)
GB (W)
Indy (W)
Ten (W)
SF (W)
Phi (W)
SF (L)
Wash (L)
Ari (W)
... and on and on with these shit NFC teams.

Short of Indy which was a meaningless game, and maybe the Giants (at the time), they have not played a good team all year. Even last week, I think most of that ass-woopin' was that Carolina didn't show up.

I'm torn -- I can't believe that Seattle is as good as they have looked (considering who they have played). But at the same time, I hate to go with the consenses on big games (Pitt).

All of a sudden, I hate this Super Bowl.

They made the Super Bowl, I'm guessing there was a good team or 2 along the way.

I'm gonna throw some money on Seattle.

As FightDr pointed out, they have the best OL in football, and I think that will make a difference on Super Sunday. Most teams that play Pittsburgh start out with the idea of running the ball, but either abandons that by the second half, or keeps at it without much luck, merely to keep the Steelers D honest. With Seattle, I actually think they can run effectively against Pittsburgh. Say what you will about Alexander's toughness, but he is a hell of a back...expecially when running behind Huchinson, Jones, and the rest.

Also, another obvious problem offenses have against Pittsburgh is the blitz. The great Seahawk OL helps here again. It also doesn't hurt that Hasselbeck is mobile enough to avoid the rush, and Mack Strong is a solid FB who can pick up rushers.

BIG SIGH! I hate the Steelers, but i just don't see Hasselhoff beating them :D I don't see Alexander getting it done either. Watch for that spread to hit -5 if it does POUND the Steelers. -5 is one of those golden numbers that almost ALWAYS wins for the favorite. The last thing I want to see is Jerome "FAT ***" Bettis get a ring, but my wallet comes before my heart :(

Spoon whatever you like..I'm going OPPO....I just KNEW Oklahoma would cover  over Texas!

SEATTLE is 5-0 against the spread versus PITTSBURGH since 1992.
I don't like trends, but I HATE Pittsburgh!

WKNR had a guy from the Vegas Hilton on today. He is one of the guys who sets lines and makes the prop wagers.
He stated 75% of the bets in Vegas coming in are on Shittsburgh
That makes me like Seattle even more.
Seattle 24 Pitt 20
Hasselbeck MVP
Cower loses the BIG game once again

This more and more looks like a Pit cover, but for me to enjoy myself I may just have to play small and root hard against those one balled half breeds

No discussion on the over/under? That may be the more entertaining play of the day. Where is it? 47?
