Glad to see Tracy has his ball club ready for opening week - lose 2/3 to probably the worst team in baseball (Houston Astros) and then come home to get schooled in your home opener.

8-9 day for the field as Day 5 brought some interesting results. The Rockies continue their cold start as they were bombed in their home opener by Barry Zito and the Giants 7-0. Amazingly Zito throws his 1st shutout in 9 years and spins his first quality start in who knows how long. Nice to see he is earning his 37 million owed to him in the next 2 years.

The Braves lost again, this time to the lowly Astros. 4 errors did in the Braves as Houston moves to 3-1 while Atlanta is still searching for their first win. In other news, The Rangers bounced back from a 4-0 1st inning hole to blast the Mariners 11-5. The debut of Darvish was below average as he was torched for 5 runs in the first 2 innings before settling in. Other winners included the Angels, who beat the hapless Twins. The Twins are the Astros of the AL....just awful.

FYI - Today's slate does include day games.

Wow - the last time I remember a team being such a popular pick was Johan Santana vs Livan Hernandez. It was a Sunday afternoon 2 years ago when 90% of the field had Santana. The Nationals routed the Mets.

13 players rode the Dodgers to a hard fought victory in a game decided in the 8th inning on an Either bomb. Outside of the 1st inning run the Dodgers offense was AWOL until Either's shot. The Braves finally won and that made 3 players very happy.
