Some events in baseball are hard to explain and Seattle rallying from an 7-0 7th inning deficit is one of those 'are you kidding me' events. Besides Hernandez being torched for all 7 runs, the Mariners looked lifeless as they have the past 7 games. The walk off was provided by a reserve infielder who replaced Figgins due to an injury. Rodriguez fouled off 9 staright pitches, before delivering the gap shot for the unexplainable comeback.

The Red Sox lost again as they were smoked by the Rays and their anemic offense.
