Another active day for the pool, but this one was bloody. 19/21 players in action. 13 of them losers, including 10 of the top 13 in the standings. Five fell with the Royals and Zack Greinke, who is struggling right now. Five fell with the Twins, who were battered by the notorious Pick 30 giant killers, the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Just two unbeatens left, ASP and Gashouse, at 4-0 and 2-0 respectively. Pool leaders Peeks and Pipes took their first losses last night. Phase I winner Bill Henry, yet to pick a game, now 11 days in. jpd1224 rolling along at 7-1 with a 4 game winning streak ... and all his picks have been American League teams so far.

Two years in the pool and I have yet to pick the Rangers as winners - lol. They couldn't score more than 3 runs off Backe, who yields a HR every two innings and has no business pitching in the big leagues.

One correction to the standings. jpd1224 lost with the BoSox yesterday, it was not reflected in the updated standings from this morning. Will reflect tomorrow.

I couldn't agree more. I thought I could sneak them in last night as Backe's numbers are just atrocious. Left handed batters are hitting over 400 against the clown and the Rangers had numerous players in their lineup who were hitting over 400 lifetime against him. That being said, I thought they would score enough to offset Padilla.
