Some much needed blood on Day 8, as 5 people fell when the Mets lost at home to the Padres, and 3 others lost as Jon Lester and the Chowds were lit up by the A's. Field was 7-11 overall, with 5 people finding a good spot to win with the Pirates behind Zach Duke. Even kindtim got off the schnide, as the Cubs one hit the Rockies.

Just two unbeatens left, Swerb and Eck, both of whom stand at 5-0. A lighter schedule today, with 10 of the 30 MLB teams enjoying an off day.

10 people took the day off on what was a tough day to pick a winner. eagles24 got washed with his White Sox pick. Rest of the field went 1-8, with six people losing with the Rangers and Brandon McCarthy, who fell 7-5 at home to the Orioles. Only winner was jpd1224, who won playing against the Indians with the Royals.

Swerb the last unbeaten. Eck lost his goose egg in the loss column when the DBacks came back to beat the Cards after Cris Carpenter had to leave the game after sustaining an injury while batting.

Full slate of games today with three heavy favorites on the board.

Field had another losing day, going 7-8, with five people losing with the Cubs, who were big -220 favorites at home against Colorado with the enigmatic Rich Harden on the hill. Of the winners, two had the Tribe, two had the Tigers (who got another gem from Galaragga), and two had the Mets and Oliver Perez. eagles24 was washed for the 2nd straight night as the Phillies-Nats game was rained out.

New leaders, as Swerb fell from the ranks of the unbeaten as the Marlins stayed hot and smacked around Derek Lowe and the Braves. GodHatesClevelandSports and The Fight Dr are the new leaders at 7-1.

Light slate today, just 10 games, and 4 are day games. Only big favorite? The Yankees, in their home opener at the new park. Playing the Indians. Matchup of the last two Cy Young award winners, both as Indians. Sabathia vs. Lee.

For each day that an NBA playoff game is on the board, select one game ATS.
