Anybody else get screwed by that?

From the Yahoo recap: The first such score in 12,837 NFL games was in jeopardy when Troy Polamalu returned an errant lateral 12 yards for an apparent touchdown on the final play. The play was overturned on review—it was called an illegal forward pass—and the 11-10 final was restored.

After the game, referee Scott Green said the officials realized afterward the touchdown should have counted, though it wouldn’t have affected the result.

I had Steelers -5.5 in the last game of my parlay, which was 2/2 at the time. So instead, I got screwed, and my sportsbook doesn't allow score amendments, even if they do change it.

But I sure did think about it when it was happening. A crowded sportsbook would have been ape shit crazy.

I turned it off really pissed off midway through the 4th, once it was 10-8. I figured it was impossible for them to cover. I sent my buddy a "F the Steelers" text message and he said, "Yeah, those assholes would run the score up like that". That got my attention in a hurry.

Then, I saw the ref signal touchdown right before the telecast went off. Then, I saw the final score on ESPNEWS as 11-10. Yahoo had 17-10. NFL.com had 11-10. Then I found out the bad news.

Now, I find out that the TD should have counted.

I'm sure this isn't the first time it's happened, but that's brutal.

How bout USC/Stanford?

USC is -23. Stanford is down 29, decides to kick a FG with 3 seconds left. Pete Carroll gets pissed, calls a time out to get the field goal block team out there. Harbaugh changes his mind, goes for it, heaves one, and scores on the final play to lose by 22.

Also, I don't think I've ever seen as many safeties on one weekend of football. Had family in this weekend, was just hanging out at the house all weekend, football on from noon to midnight. Every time I looked at the GD screen there was another safety. Must have seen 5 or 6 happen live this weekend.

I almost got screwed by it in Fantasy. I have the Steeler's defense and that would of been an extra 6 points for my team. I was only up 6 with my opponent having TO going for him in last night's game needing 60 yards or a TD to win as he had me in tie breakers. Thanks goodness the Pinkie Romo could not find TO too much......
