My favorite fighter of all time, Roy Jones Jr. will beat Joe Calzaghe.
Check out my boy:

This could be the most boring fight in boxing history.

Neither guy can knock anyone out. Slappy Joe vs Washed Up Roy.

Calzaghe wins 10 of 12 rounds in a unanimous decision that will piss off everyone, including me, that lops down $50 for it.

Roy will win, might even get the KO.
Sets up a rematch with Hopkins, who he owned years ago.

Calzaghe will not be beaten by this muppet

This guy has RJJ winning by decision and he is almost never wrong.

He correctly predicted Hopkins beating Pavlik by UD, Margarito knocking out Cotto, Sturm over Sylvester, and just about every other high profile fight in recent memory.

I hope he is right this time... but I seriously doubt it after watching the HBO 24/7 show.

Tomorrow night.
I'm curious to see how many pay per view buys it will get and how ticket sales are.
Is anyone else on here getting the PPV?

I will, although this one has the potential to be lacking and the televised undercard is soft (I'm not a big Zab Judah fan). Right now I'm taking RJJ by UD, setting up a rematch with Hopkins.

Great performance by Calzaghe.
His punch output and speed was the huge difference.

That and the fact RJJ was completely washed up five years ago. Still not sure how he even got this fight. Fight played out exactly as I thought it would.

At least we'll never have to see RJJ fight anymore. Good riddance.

Calzaghe retires after that meaningless win against that washed up old bum and he's a big puss.

Good riddance to Roy, one of the best fighters you will ever see Dickey.
What a career for both fighters.

I'm just glad I didn't spent one cent to watch Calzaghe slap around a shot version of RJJ. I was happy to hear that Slappy Joe got knocked on his ass once again in the first round, though.

Joe lost what little respect I had for him when he outright DUCKED Kelly Pavlik. Say what you will about Kelly's loss to Hopkins compared to Calzaghe's highly questionable "win" against Hopkins.

Sorry, but triangle theories just don't work in boxing. Styles make fights.

I wonder how Joe would have reacted after receiving a flush shot to the chin from Pavlik compared to the recent punches that knocked him down? How would he respond to a relentless, younger guy that actually has the abilty to finish off a hurt opponent?

We will never know, because Joe didn't have the balls to take that fight, even his ex-promoter confirmed that. Just like he backed out of fighting Glenn Johnson a few years ago. He is a coward that will only take a fight that he 100% knows he will win.

Exactly.

I just have no respect for those types of fighters.

You're all just bitter because Calzaghe isn't American.
you don't know much about Calzaghe cos he only recently started to fight stateside
Calzaghe is the best Super Middleweight ever

He may be. Americans just want to see him prove it, instead of fighting washed up bums like Roy Jones. Seriously, what was the purpose of that fight?

Classic line by Slappy after the fight: "This year, I beat two legends and came to America to do it. They didn't come to me. I took the risk."

Oooooh ... big risk taking the Roy Jones fight.

Fight Bad Chad Dawson or shut your pie hole and retire undefeated like a big puss.

I'm not bitter.
No respect for one of the top three pound for pound fighters in the world?

Totally agree with swerb what we saw was a couple of overrated guys putting on an over hyped boring fight.

Roy never beat anyone outside of Tony, and Hopkins, but at least he did it in their prime. Joe on the other hand beat two "legends" (one legend, and one highly overrated media darling), and now he thinks he can walk away with his head held high?

BS if Joe wants respect he needs to fight someone who will give him a fight, someone who still has KO power.
