Paul Williams Is Back

Unread postby swerb » Sat Jun 07, 2008 11:56 pm

Man, DVR'd this one while I watched Kelly. Just had a chance to go back and watch it. All 90 seconds of it. Wow.

A lot of people forget, a year ago, Paul beat Margarito, now a darling of the division and the sport, and set to take on Miguel Cotto in the mega fight of the year.

With Mayweather at least temporarily out of the way at welterweight, things are coming into focus in a hurry.

Cotto-Margarito fight in July
Judah-Clottey on Aug 2

Williams right back there. Mosley still in the mix. Delahoya still a wild card, and looking for an opponent in September all of a sudden, potentially a 3rd fight with Shane.

Wonder if they will even be trying for a trilogy after tonight?

Williams is a stud when he's right mentally.
Sugar Shane needs an opponent soon, I'd like to see him and Williams go at it.
I doubt we'll see a Oscar/Shane fight, I really have no interest in that anyway.

Williams vs Mosley and the winner gets the Cotto vs Margarito winner, that works for me.
