Just won a fight he in my eyes lost
HBO is blowing this guy, if I didnt watch the fight and just listened to the announcers, you would have thought he won a shutout.

My take on him:
Not too skillful
Dirty, holding and punching behind the head.

He will be pounded by any of the big names guys they mentioned as possible opponents.

I can't stand Mayweather ... but he would tear Hatton apart at the seams IMO.

There's been so many times I thought Mayweather was primed to lose. So many of his big fights I went into, thinking and hoping his opponent had a chance. In every one, he's absolutely dominated his foe.

That is why he is the pound for pound king
I honestly have never heard anyone question him being the best fighter going right now.
I can't stand him either but he is a bad mofo and makes people look silly.

Joe Calzaghe is better fighter than Mayweather

if Joe was American he would be bigger than Ali and that quote comes from Jeff Lacy's promoter

the arrogance of the American boxing world means guys like Lacy get hyped up people were comparing him to a young Mike Tyson WTF??

saying that Mayweather would demolish Hatton is another arrogant theory from blind American boxing fans.

Saying he would would be bigger than Ali is just plain ignorant
I don't care who said it, it shouldn't be repeated.

its ignorant to just dismiss the claim

I admit its hard to imagine anyone to be of that status and I'm not sure I really believe that even though I repeated it in another post but fact is he'd be revered in the same breath as Ali

I don't know Joe, but I am assuming you are saying if he was American, he would be taller than he is because nobody is/was/will be bigger than Ali, so stop it. It was Lacy's promoter trying to cover for his fighter not being prepared and taking the Brit lightly.

Based on what?

the arrogance of the American boxing

We are arrogant about many more things than boxing. That is why we are great. If you want to be popular in a sport we care about, you HAVE to do it here. We have to be able to see it. We are not going to stay up until what ever time it would have to be to see this guy fight some other trash. If he wants to be the best in the world, come on over, fight the best guy in the class, beat him and then talk. Until then, keep fighting slow drunken Irishmen and proclaiming yourself to be the best.

we're 5 hours ahead of the states so if anything it would be on at an even more reasonable hour over there
