07/07/07 - Geneva, OH: The Biggest Party of the Summer will take place on Saturday August 4th in Geneva, OH when the North American Allied Fight Series presents NAAFS War on the Shore! The seventh round of the 2007 NAAFS Season will take place at The Cove, nestled comfortable on the banks of Lake Erie, with what will no doubt be the hottest night of MMA action this summer ...

The biggest names & top ranked fighters in the NAAFS will be laying it all on the line at War on the Shore, including two NAAFS champions. In the Main Event, 2006 NAAFS National Heavyweight Champion & hometown hero John "The Showstopper" Hedges (3-1) will square off against Wreckroom Athletic's "Big Sexy" Seth Cole (2-1). Hailing from nearby Madison, OH; Hedges will be looking to make this a successful homecoming. For Cole, this is his opportunity to make a huge splash in the NAAFS Heavyweight Division. The winner of this bout will be on step closer to the 2007 NAAFS Finals in December.

In the Co-Main Event of the evening, it's the rematch that NAAFS fans have been waiting for, as Madison's own Paul "Str8 Outta" Compton (8-1) will battle John "Mongoose" Myers (6-4) of Instigator Fight Team. Their first time they met was in Myers’ hometown of Dover, OH at NAAFS Border Wars. On that night, it was Paul Compton who walked away from the battle with a KO victory. This time, it will be John Myers entering unfriendly territory, no doubt looking to avenge the loss. If the first time they met in the NAAFS Cage was a battle, this time out it’s going to be a war!

NAAFS War on the Shore will also see the return of Team Instigator’s Brian “The Predator” Rogers (3-1), who will square off against Frank Dachtler in a Light Heavyweight showdown. The 2006 NAAFS National Light Heavyweight Champion Chuck Ellison (6-1) will be in action as well, facing the challenge of the ultra-tough Mason Woodruff (5-2) of Kombat Arts MMA

Tickets for NAAFS War on the Shore are on sale now and going very fast. There is only a limited quantity of tickets available for this event, so make sure you don’t delay or you could miss the biggest party of the summer, as the NAAFS presents War on the Shore!

A great night of fights.
The highlight of my night was sitting down and chatting with UFC vet Sean Salmon. This is one cool dude. He went out of his way to be friendly with both me and my wife, he's a true class act. He'll be fighting in Cleveland on September 8th and I'll be heading down.
