Frank Shamrock

Just watching old UFC fights, Frank Shamrock is the best pound for pound fighter I have seen. He seemed to be well skilled in all aspects of fighting at that time, and would push the pace beyond what most fighters could handle.

But other than UFC, I did not know much about his history so I looked it up on wikipedia. (You can google any fighter and get a great bio on most fighters in wikipedia). It appears he was only average prior to his big UFC fights.

Since the UFC days he has only fought sporadically but done well, going 3-0 into the last fight vs. Renzo Gracie. I read he lost due to disqualification.

Did anyone see this? What happened?

I watched it
Shamrock was dominated on the ground in round 1
In round 2, he was losing again
He landed 2 illegal knees to the back or Gracie's head and DQ'ed when Gracie couldn't continue due to a concussion. It didn't look that bad but Gracie once fought after getting his elbow dislocated when he wouldn't tap out. I wouldn't think he was faking.
Shamrock looked pretty bad and I was very dissapointed.
